Vamsam actor Arulnidhi speaks with us

‘Vamsam’ might have opened to mixed reviews. But this has not stopped its protagonist Arulnidhi from establishing himself as a hero. The young actor is now one of the promising young faces of Tamil cinema.

“The credits should go to director Pandiraj and my father Thamizharasu, who produced Vamsam. It is because of them people are now recognising me wherever I go,” says the grandson of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

Saying that he had to face tough times while shooting for ‘Vamsam’, Arulnidhi says, “But I knew everything was good. I am happy now when the audience enjoy each and every scene in the film with applause”.

On his next venture, Arulnidhi says, “some filmmakers have evinced interested to cast me in their movies. Things are still in the pipeline. I will make it official once everything gets finalised.”

Arya's Chikku Bukku movie audio review

This is the second outing for Hariharan and Leslie Lewis in Tamil cinema as music directors. The songs are global in feel, a hint of every world culture. ‘Adi Saarale’ is a semi-classical soulful number by Suvi and Pradeep Vijay. The 'Bukku' title track is a foot-tapping number in the voices of Maya, Rahul Nambiar and Benny Dayal. Shankar Mahadevan, Chandrayee Battacharya and Uma Padmanabhan croon the rustic ‘Oru Nila’. ‘Smile’ sung by Suchith Suresan is a latino inspired ballad. Sufi meets ghazal in ‘Thooral Nindralum’ in the soul stirring voices of Hariharan and the Wadali Brothers. The romantic duets ‘Vizhi Oru Paadhi’ by Sujatha and Adnan Sami and ‘Zara Zara’ by Lavanya and Benny Dayal are sure to be chart-busters

Vasundra asks whether she is a controversial actress

In Vattaram she made her debut with the name Adisaya and now she has changed her name as Vasundra which is her real name.

The hand which held the gun for Peranmai is now holding sickle for the film Thenmerku Paruvakatru. While speaking to the media she said,’ I wanted to act in the role of a village girl. I got lot of stories but only the role in Thenmerku Paruvakatru suited me.Director Seenu Ramasami completely transformed me into a Theni girl. This film made me understand that acting is a painful job.

I transformed myself as a pucca village girl. I stood in the hot sun. I picked thistles from the hilly terrains. Whenever there is no shooting, I use to wander in the village where ever my legs took me.

Village people will ask me which family I belong to. You can see a different Vasundra in this film. Many are asking me that why there is sensational news about me always. I also don’t understand this. I am not a controversial actress. I am slightly naughty. That’s all. May be because of this the news are being spread like this.

Now I have changed this habit after acting in Thenmerku Paruvakatru. I think there will be no sensational news about me in future. There is also news that I am in love with a person who studied with me. I have lot of friends but I am not in love with any one. I am a small girl. I have to achieve lot of things in cinema. This love news is also one of the wrong news.”

Prithviraj speaks about Superstar Rajinikanth

Prithviraj says that Rajnikanth is the only bold person who goes out without make up. While speaking to the media, he said,” Rajni is not scared of anything. He likes to be himself without make up. He is bold because his fans adore him for his roles alone.

So far no other actor has earned fame and name like Rajnikanth. In my younger age I know Mammooty and Mohanlal. They were close to me than Rajni. I grew up in their laps. But they have not appreciated me about my films so far.

Rajni is not like them. Now I also remember one thing. I was shooting for the film Gorki at Kozhikode. When I got up at 5.30 am to do my exercises I saw that there were 23 missed calls from a Chennai landline. I thought it was too early to call back and went to do exercises. At 6.30 a m I got the call from the same number.

I picked the phone and the person who spoke to me asked whether I was Prithviraj. When I said yes, Rajni spoke to me directly. He appreciated me about my scenes in Mozhi for nearly 45 minutes. I was stunned. From that moment my respect for Rajni escalated to great heights.

Rajni is the only person who goes for the public functions without make up. People will not accept if Mammooty or Mohanlal come out without make up. Even big actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Chiranjeevi are coming out wearing wigs. Rajni is the only independent person who is not scared about anything. No other actor could have gained the people’s hearts like Rajni.”

Asin says no to Boney Kapoor's offer

Actress Asin has outright turned down an offer from producer Boney Kapoor. Bollywood circles allege the actress is stubborn. Endhiran release date once again changed

Looks like the hullabaloo behind Endhiran’s release date will never die down. The movie was speculated to be released in the first week of September but still there are no signs of it. Fresh rumors quoting unconfirmed production sources mention that a new release date, October 8, has been finalized upon. Incidentally, the number eight is supposed to be Shankar’s lucky number.

There are also industry-talks that speculate the movie’s release date to collide with Diwali that falls on November 5. The movie, however, is ready for release and only a release date announcement from the producers will put an end to unverified speculations

Ajith to act in Chandramukhi part 2

It is well known that Rajini is one of the closest well wishers of Ajith. Even Ajith is very faithful to Rajini and takes his advice for all major decisions of his life. Now we hear that Thala has agreed to do a film on the advice of Super Star.

And the movie is also no less in reputation. Director Vasu had directed a Kannada movie 'Aaptharakshaka' which went on to become the biggest ever hit in Kannada cinema. 'Aaptharakshaka'was a sequel to 'Apthamithra' which was later remade in Tamil as Chandramukhi starring Super Star Rajnikanth.

P. Vasu was planning to remake the sequel film also in Tamil and looking for Rajnikanth to do it as well. Even the super star liked the movie after a special screening and news were abuzz saying Rajini has agreed to do the film. But it was some time ago and the Super Star got busy with Endhiran.

Now after a while the remake buzz is again afloat but with a twist. The news this time is that the Super Star has suggested Ajith to take up the film. Apparently Rajini has told Ajith that the film will fetch him a good name.

Ajith was expected to take up 'Billa-2'after 'Mangatha' but as things stand now he is likely to take up the P. Vasu film. We will keep you posted as and when things develop.

"Rajini grew beyond imagination, Kamal evolved into everything I dreamt"

Tamil cinema's evergreen and debonair director K. Balachander, fondly referred to as KB, has never hidden his admiration towards his favorite disciples Kamal and Rajini. Though he has scaled heights which has never been tried or followed by anyone after him, KB has always encouraged and appreciated talent even if it is a newcomer to the industry.

Recently, on the eve of the 50th year felicitation function organized by the Government of Kerala for Kamal Hassan, KB was all appreciative about Kamal. Though he couldn't attend the function, KB has shown his immense admiration as a mentor and friend for Kamal in his letter to the press.

Rajini the phenomenon, Kamal the Icon

Though KB accepts that he neither travels much nor attends film related functions due to his age, he admits that his weariness dries, heart lightens and spirits soar when he has to speak about Kamal. He also says that he would like to be present in any stage in any country just to talk about or watch Kamal's performance. He even goes on to admit that he gratefully rests in the laurels of Rajini and Kamal. He says that "if Rajini has grown beyond imagination, Kamal has evolved into everything he dreamt of". If Rajini, the phenomenon, stands tall for the world to see, Kamal is an icon, a monarch of all he surveys is what he has to say about the giants.

Kudos Kerala

It's known to us that Kamal acted in a variety of films in Malayalam before finding foot in Tamil. Identifying this, KB praised the likes of Thakazhi Sivasankaran Pillai, Vaikkom Basheer and P Bhaskaran for inspiring Kamal to underplay a role and to learn the nuances of cinema. He was generous in saying that it was the Malayalam industry which kindled the fire in Kamal's heart. So he thanked the most literate state in the country for identifying the talent so early in Kamal's career.

I did not discover Kamal

Referring to the inventions made by Edison, Alexander Bell, Marconi, KB says he is proud to find a place in history as he discovered Kamal. But, being humble as he ever is, he says that he did not discover Kamal but just gave him a platform to discover himself. "Kamal does not belong to me, he belongs to world cinema. I gave him away to the world as his imagination and creativity became insatiable", is his word.

Kamal is beyond competition

KB also reveals that Kamal learnt the art of cinema by probing, begging, watching, observing, demanding, experimenting, experiencing and learning. Though Kamal has lost more than what he has gained, he is beyond competition, beyond rivals. He draws him parallel to Sachin whose passion and love for the game and towards his country are as the same as Kamal. "Hey man! Kamal - I am proud of you my son", he beams.

Jack of all trades

Hailing him as the jack of all trades, KB points out Kamal's many talents. Identifying him as a story writer and a dialogue writer, KB says that he is good at screenplays and writing songs as well. Kamal can sing in Classical and Western notes, an accomplished Bharathnatyam dancer, a wizard in makeup and a master in latest technologies and computer graphics is his observation. He feels that Kamal's movies like Mahanadhi, Nayagan, Nammavar, Hey Ram, Guna, Alavandan and Devar Magan will be studied and referred by students and other international film-makers.

'!' - Kamal's identity

Astonished by Kamal's achievements, KB feels that the name Kamal Hassan would be replaced by the ! (Exclamation mark) soon. The reason he says is that the greatest personalities of the world have an identity of their own. Gandhi is identified by his glasses, Nehru by his rose, Bharathiyar by his moustache and MGR by his fur cap. Thus he feels that Kamal's name will be replaced by an exclamation mark as he simply ASTONISHES. Comparing Kamal to legends like Sivaji Ganesan, Nagesh, Dilip Kumar and Nageshwar Rao, KB feels that this 'one-of-a-kind-man' is not what he is because of me. On the contrary, I am what I am because of him.

He ends by confessing that he has lost his appetite for personal applause. "All I wish is to hear the applause, the cheers, the trumpets and the music singing Kamal Haasan's genius and fame!", he concludes.

Sathyaraj, Ameer release docu on Muthukumar

When the fighting for the Eezham Tamil cause by the Tamil community all over the world was at its peak in January 2009, there were voices from the film fraternity also. There were agitations and hunger strikes. While that was happening one incident jolted all. That was the self-immolation of Muthukumar.

A journalist and assistant director by profession Muthukumar immolated himself for the Eezham cause. The 4-page statement he distributed before his death is part of modern Tamil folklore. His supreme sacrifice moved the Tamil film industry also and many from the industry hold him in high esteem.

Sathyaraj, Seeman, Ameer and many others still talks about the sacrifice of Muthukumar. Yesterday, August 29, Sathyaraj and Seeman released documentary on Muthukumar at the Film Chamber in Chennai. The documentary titled 'January 29' is directed by Pragatheeswaran.Nallathurai, Selvaraj Murugaiyan have produced it.

While speaking at the function Sathyaraj turned very emotional and said "I am speechless after seeing a movie of this kind. I thank the producers and director of the movie as one of the million brothers of Muthukumar".

Sathyaraj also said that Ameer as a director must take forward the struggle through his films because social changes can happen through films.

Directors Pughazhendhi Thangaraj, Sibichander, Lyricist Arivumadhi and Writer Balamurali Varma also were present.

Kaavalan’s hit and Vedi’s miss

Looks like Vijay will make it to the box-office for Diwali celebrations this November. His Kaavalan, remake of the Malayalam flick Bodyguard, is in the final stages of completion and is a sure shot for Diwali release according to production sources. Kaavalan is a comedy directed by Malayalam director Siddique and stars Asin opposite Vijay.

On the other hand, Vikram – Boopathy Pandian’s venture Vedi that was supposed to have been released for Diwali is more or less shelved and will not see the light of the day for Diwali. Point, in fact, is that the title Vedi is referential to the Diwali festival.

Sundar C is at his familiar territory again

Sundar C is at his familiar territory again. The director-turned-actor is back to filmmaking and has almost completed his directorial venture ‘Nagaram Marupakkam’, which is a sequel to Thalainagaram, his first film as hero.

Besides wielding the megaphone, Sundar also plays the lead role. Anuya of ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ and ‘Madurai Sambavam’ fame is the heroine. The film is produced by Avni Cinemax (P) Ltd, a banner owned by Khushbhu, wife of Sundar.

Music of ‘Nagaram Marupakkam’, composed by Thaman S, will be released by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in Chennai on Monday evening. Kamal Hassan will receive the first copy of the audio from the Chief Minister at the function to be presided over by Tamil Film Producers Council president Rama Narayanan.

Sundar last directed Rendu, starring Madhavan and Anushka. He stopped calling the shots ever since he became a successful actor with non-stop releases like ‘Thalainagaram, Veerappu, Sanda, Ayudham Seivom, Thee’ and ‘Aindham Padai’.

“I chose to direct a movie again because I don’t want the director in me to take a back seat thanks to my desire to stand in front of the camera. The decision to make a sequel to Thalainagaram was because the film was a turning point in my career and the story had the potential for a second part,” the actor-director says.

Jeeva busy with his working

Jeeva is one actor who is always ready to accept new and challenging roles. Whether it is the critically-acclaimed Raam, Katrathu Tamizh or a light-hearted role in Siva Manasula Sakthi, audiences have always appreciated how this talented youngster shone in his challenging roles. Meanwhile the actor is currently busy with four projects: Singam Puli, Ko, Rowthiram and the recently launched Vandhaan Vendraan. He's also finished shooting for Boss Engira Baskaran, where he plays a guest role.

"I've been continuously shooting for movies, but I'm loving it. I've been shooting in the nights for Rowthiram with Shriya for director Gokul. I have about four days of work left on Singam Puli. Since I play dual roles in the film, the CG work has taken up a lot of time," Jiiva confirmed.

which one makes Kamal Haasan's happiness

Kamal Haasan recently said he is happy that noted author Neela Padmanabhan’s celebrated novel Thalaimuraigal is soon to be made into a film. The film has been titled Magizhchi.

The actor said that he always welcomed acclaimed novels being made in to movies and Magizhchi will be one among them. He added that meaningful cinema can be made only if there is a right mixture of films and literature.

The film will be directed by Gauthaman, who also plays the lead role. Others included in the star cast are director Seeman, Prakash Raj, Anjali and Karthika.

Kamal's daughter has Shruti Haasan injured

Shruti Haasan, who is making her acting debut in Kollywood with Suriya starrer ‘7am Arivu’, got injured Sunday afternoon while shooting a stunt scene for the A R Murgadoss directed film.

The accident took place when the cast and crew of the Udhayanidhi Stalin’s production venture were shooting some ‘dangerous stunt scenes’ on the Velachery -Tambaram main road, on the outskirts of Chennai.

According to the daughter of ‘Ulaga Nayagan’ Kamal Hassan, the injury is on her elbow, and she is now taking rest. Suriya, on seeing her groaning in pain, immediately rushed to her side and helped a lot.

Shruti added saying “Suriya is a super supportive co-star ready with magic medication and lots of concern!”

Prithviraj's role in Veluthampi Dalava

Renowned Malayalam director Viji Thampi, known for his successful flims on historical characters, is now making a film based on the life of Velayudhan Chempakaraman Thampi, popularly known as Veluthampi Dalava, who was the Dalava (Prime Minister) of Travancore from 1802 to 1809.

Actress Ramya Nambeesan: I wants challenging roles

Lakshmi Movie Makers are producing a film titled Atta Nayagan. Shakthi, Ramya Nambeesan, Santhanam, Meera Vasudevan and Swaminathan are in the cast.

S T Vijay Milton is handling the camera while Srikanth Deva is composing the music for the lyrics penned by Vaali and Krishna Ram. Krishna Ram is directing the film. Ramya Nambeesan while speaking to the media said,” I have acted in Malayalam and Tamil films.

When I acted in Raman Thediya Seethai and Vetottam, I was not able to speak Tamil. During the shooting of Atta Nayagan I learnt Tamil from the assistant directors.

But Shakthi use to laugh at me when I speak Tamil. I cannot do glamour roles like other heroines. I will select challenging roles and act in it. Atta Nayagan is being released shortly. I am acting in Muriyadi, Ilaignyan and Kulla Nari Kootam .

Karthi praises makes Kajal Agarwal's happiness

Kajal Agarwal is happy because Karthi has said that he likes her eyes and height. Kajal made her debut in the Tamil film Bommalattam. She is number one in Telugu. That is also one of the reasons for her happiness.

You are number one in Telugu. Now you are upcoming heroine in Tamil. How do you see this?

Number one depends on that how a film fairs at the box office. Since my Telugu film Magadheera was a super hit, my career graph rose. That’s all. I am also selecting a role in Tamil that will be spoken about. It is enough if I get a super hit film like that.

Here you will be facing stiff competition with actresses like Trisha, Thamanna and Asin?

Let it be. I will accept only the opportunities that come my way. I will not grab their offers. Moreover Thamanna and Asin are also beautiful.

Bharathiraja has the habit of keeping his heroine’s name beginning with R. Did he not change your name?

I don’t know. He has not asked me anything. I also did not change my name. Bharathiraja is a big legend. Bommalattam is a good experience.

How is Karthi?

Very friendly type. His brother and father are hit artists. In spite of this he keeps on telling that he is proud because he is acting with me. His humbleness will not be there in others. He is very sincere and soft. He keeps on praising me.

What do you think about rumours?

First I want to say one thing. There are no rumours about me so far. I will behave in the right manner with my co actors. I will not chat unnecessarily or send SMS. So there is no chance of rumours.

Is it true that you are acting Vijay in a film produced by Lingusamy?

It is nice to hear. I should have dates. We will see.

Prabhu Deva to marry Nayanthara on this December

There is a buzz doing rounds in Tollywood that Nayanthara and Prabhu Deva may tie the nuptial knot sometime in December. The speculation about the couple’s marriage rose after Nayan declined to accept new film offers. The lady is currently acting in Boss Engira Baskaran and has not signed up any Tamil film. Likewise, she has completed her acting commitments in Kannada, Malayalam and Telugu films

Meanwhile, Prabhu Deva has signed up a Santosh Sivan film titled Urumi and is gearing up for the shooting which is slated to begin in Malshej Ghats.

Finally 3 Idiots remake has confirmed for tamil & telugu version

At a time when a lot of buzzes are doing rounds about the Tamil remake of ‘3 Idiots’, director of the Bollywood blockbuster Raju Hirani has confirmed that the film is being remade in south Indian languages

Speaking at the DVD launch of the Aamir Khan starrer in Mumbai, the filmmaker said, “The movie will be soon made in Tamil and Telugu. But I don’t know who will play the lead there.”

“I think they (producers and director of the Tamil version) are currently in the process of casting,” Hirani said and added that he has no plans to make a sequel to ‘3 Idiots’. “I am not with that idea,” he said.

There were reports that a popular production house has acquired the remake rights of ‘3 Idiots’ and Shankar will direct both the Tamil and Telugu versions. “While Vijay will replace Aamir Khan in Tamil, Mahesh Babu will play the role in Telugu,” reports said.

Ganesh Venkataram: I don't have interest in action films

Ganesh Venkataram who had earlier acted in Abhiyum Naanum and Unnai Pol Oruvan is now acting in the film Kandahar. He is donning the role of Amitabh’s son.

While speaking to the media, he said,” The film is based on the hijack incident at Kandahar. Now I am shooting for the film in Mumbai airport. The film will hit the screens during the month of September.

I am donning the role of an angry youth who is against corruption etc. When I meet the army officer Mohanlal in Ooty my life completely changes. I join the army through him. Then I become the captain of the National Security Force. Each scene will be filled with action.

Since director Major Ravi had worked in the army, he got special permission to shoot in army locations. It was an unforgettable experience working with stalwarts like Amitabh and Mohanlal. With regard to Muriyadi, the film is being directed by Selvan. I am donning the role of an advocate in this film. The story revolves around Sathyaraj, Ramya and me.

The screenplay is very sensational. The shooting of the film is completed. The film is to be released soon. My character will be spoken very much after the release of this film. Since I had acted in police officer role in Unnai Pol Oruvan and commando role in Kandahar, many are asking me that whether I am interested in action hero roles. It not like that.

I am interested in doing all kind of character roles. This is necessary for an actor. One should not get an image that he is fit only for a particular role I want to do the roles which have not been done so far. I am waiting for such kind of stories. There is also a question that since I live in Mumbai why I should not try Hindi films.

My mother tongue is Tamil. I want to win in my mother tongue language. Both the films that I had acted have earned me good name. After getting a good name in Tamil I will try my hand in other languages.”

Prasanna celebrating his birthday today

Prasanna is celebrating his birthday today. And this year he has a special reason to celebrate the special day in a big way. For, he will be acting in six films to be directed by one director- Rajjan Madhav.

First in the list will be ‘Muran’, in which the actor will share the screen space with Cheran. “After completing Muran, we will work together for six films,” says Prasanna, who is brimming with optimism.

“I know Rajjan Madhav right from Kanda Naal Mudhal days. At that time, he narrated to me a story titled Nee Vanthathum. But the project failed to take off due to unavoidable reasons”, Prasanna recalls.

“But our friendship continued and he narrated me a few more scripts. One among them is Muran. Since I loved all the scripts, we will be working on them one by one,” he says. Ask him about his birthday resolution, Prasanna says, “I will take extra care henceforth while choosing films.”

Arya speaks about Nayanthara

Arya is going on laughing these days. The reason is not that he has paired with Nayanthara but for acting in a full length comedy film Boss Engira Baskaran. Arya while speaking about this film said,” Nayanthara and Santhanam along with me have played relentless comedy pranks.

In the name of comedy there will be no double meaning dialogues or vulgarity. Many are asking me about Nayanthara’s personal matter. As far as I am concerned Nayanthara is a matured performer. She does not see her acting with her personal life.

She is also ready to act even in intimate scenes if the story demanded it. When Santhanam and me try to pull her leg in the film, she didn’t bother her image. I doubt that we will get an actress like her. There is also a question frequently asked that whether I am choosing my roles and acting.

In that way I am lucky. Is it possible for me to ask the story of Naan Kadavul and than say yes to Bala? To act in a Bala’s film one should be lucky. It is not a easy matter to get a good director and producer. It is all God’ grace.”

Are heavy budget movies popping up the Industry?

Many would have wondered about the heavy budget movies which are being made in Tamil from the past few years creating much hype among the audiences and the movie buffs all over the world.

I think the main reasons behind the kollywood’s eye on making heavy budget movies these days are due to the directors are trying the innovative ways to catch the attention of the audiences across the globe and another reason is the producers are not getting compromise on the quality of production values these days. The other could be the makers mainly concentrating in making the film in more than one language by not bothering about the budget and spending lavishly without thinking much about later come box office revenues. On the other hand, the producers are thinking that making the high budget movies with the big star heroes like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vikram, Vijay, Surya could only make their film success at the box office with record breaking collections and not looking back to invest on these star heroes films at any cost.

If we have a look on heavy budget films from the past few years, we have seen Vikram and Shriya starrer Susi Ganeshan’s ‘Kanthaswamy’ that has created immense hype was made with a record budget of Rs.30 crores at that time in the Indian Film Industry. But the film was bombarded at the box office making the investors pockets empty

Then it comes to our mind the super star Rajinikanth’s film ‘Shivaji’ which was said to be India’s most expensive film to date reportedly made with a heavy budget of Rs. 65 crores, directed by India’s most luxurious director Shankar. Though the film attracted the audience with its high production values before its release, it was remained as average hit at the box office but luckily to the benefit of the producer, though his much hyped film ‘Baba’ collapsed at the box office, Rajini filled the producers’ pockets by giving back his favoured amount by giving a hope that his films will have minimum guarantee all over the world.

Kamal Haasan’s movies are nothing far behind to Rajini’s films. His Dasavatharam was said to be enormous budget film ever made in the tamil film industry at that time with a massive budget Rs 70 crores! Though it has grossed opening collections at the box office for Kamal’s action in 10 different roles, it was not recorded as block buster as expected before.

In recent times, following the bollywood production cost of Hrithik ‘Kites’, veteran filmmaker Maniratnam made a trilingual film ‘Raavanan’ with a whopping budget Rs. 120 crores and the expectations on the film has touched the sky from the date of its launch and the film is sold at Rs. 350 crores. But after the release, the audiences were deeply disappointed with the making of Maniratnam and the film was badly bombarded at the box office making the producers’ kitty empty.

It is also well known to every one that how Vijay’s much anticipated recent release ‘Sura’ that was made with high budget was washed away worstly at the box office with no signs of screening the film even after first week of its release.

In the same path of Raavanan, this year’s yet to release India’s ever never made heavy budget trilingual film ‘Endhiran’ starring Rajinikanth and bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai in the lead which is being made in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu by ace director Shankar is creating pre release hype among the audiences all over the world. It has been made with a record budget of nearly 190 crores that could not touched by any one in the industry. But the big question in every ones mind is that how come it will gain at the box office?

We can say that kollywood is celebrating the success of small-budget films this year. Though said to be small budgeted not much expected films, they are gaining high at the box office and remaning as hits. They include Siva Manasulla Sakthi, Yaavarum Nalam, Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu, Pasanga, Nadodigal, Angadi Theru etc in recent times.

There are even some other heavy budget films in line for the coming months like Kamal Haasan’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ with KS Ravikumar, Surya’s ’7 am Arivu ‘with the Director of Murugadoss, Ajith’s much anticipated ‘Mankatha’ Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ etc.

Finally we can say that as the production costs of films are elevating and the theatrical screens lessening to just a few weeks, it is becoming exceedingly difficult for the producers and distributors to make sure that their films have a successful opening in the theatres.

Who ever may be the hero the producers are investing on them and what ever the film they are making with a high or low budget, only the high production values and heavy budgets cannot make the film to sustain in the industry and record as hit. If the makers have right content with a mix of all commercial elements making it in a creative style with an apt hero for that, the audiences are ready to accept the film with warm welcome at any time.

There is No songs in Nagarjuna’s Payanam (Gaganam-telugu) movie

Nagarjuna who is busy in wrapping up the shooting of his forthcoming bilingual film titled ‘Payanam’ in Tamil and ‘Gaganam’ in Telugu has reached its final leg of shooting. The final schedule is being shot currently in Chennai. It has finished its entire talkie portion and will also complete the shooting of whole film by the end of this week and then will move into post production works.

Earlier it was said that Nagarjuna is playing a distinct role that has never been played by him ever before. Nag, who is considered as romantic hero, doesn’t even have a heroine beside him in the film. He will be playing the role of a commando in the film and so Nag has undergone a crash course in training to portray this character. Prakash Raj and Brahmanandam will be playing other important roles. This bilingual film is being produced by Prakash Raj in Tamil version and Dil Raju in Telugu version.

Adding more surprise to the above one, it is heard that there will be no songs in this film and decision of having at least background score in the film will be finalized only after completing the dubbing and other sound effects. It is also heard that Nagarjuna himself is dubbing for Tamil version also.
