Sameera's 'Nadunisi Naigal’ release on Diwali?

Gowtham Menon completed the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Nadunisi Naigal’ before few weeks. The Post production works are approaching fast towards finishing point. As known earlier, Gowtham Menon has avoided background score for the film and there are no songs. Incisively, such positive attributes have made it easier to get it done with the project within short span of time. The film features Sameera Reddy and Gowtham Menon’s assistant Veera in lead role.

The film is about serial murders of girls that has been petrifying the city. It’s about a girl, who gets caught in similar situation and how she makes it over the situation forms crux of the story.

Earlier, Gowtham Menon had mentioned that the film will be releasing during November. But now as Vijay’s ‘Kaavalan’ and Kamal Haasan’s ‘Manmadhan Ambu’ has been postponed to December, Gowtham Menon and his producers seems to have planned for releasing the film for the festive occasion of Diwali on November 5.

Gowtham has already started shooting for his Hindi remake of ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’ that features Trisha and Bollywood actor Pratheik Babbar in lead roles.

His other productions – ‘Veppam’ is completed while his other film ‘Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai’ directed by Susindran is fast rolling on the floors

Gowtham Menon says that he is polishing the screenplay

Gowtham Menon after Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya had readied one detective story and was waiting for Ajith. The film was supposed to be produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri.

All the crew including the cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa who had worked for Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya was also waiting. Gowtham Menon was also busy in selecting the heroine for this film. But after Asal, Ajith became busy with Formula car races.

All of a sudden Ajith started acting in Venkat Prabhu’s film Mangaatha from August 2nd. The trailer of this film was also released. Neethu Chandra is pairing with Ajith.

Gowtham Menon who was waiting for Ajith lost is patience and has said that he doesn’t need Ajith anymore. He has also lambasted Ajith openly in his recent interviews. Now Gowtham Menon has commenced his Hindi version of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya.

It seems that the shooting of the detective film which was meant for Ajith would commence in January. Gowtham Menon says that he is polishing the screenplay and wanted to make this film a hit. He is to start this work soon.

Gowtham Menon says a small info about his family

When asked Gowtham Menon why he never speaks about his family, he said,” My wife Preethi does not like all these things. Preethi is a good friend of mine. I know her from the age of eight.

One day all of a sudden she asked me whether I liked her. I was shocked. We both were of the same age. Our love marriage took place on December 26th. Arya, Dhuruva and Aathyan are my three children.

My wife and mother are good friends. She likes me in spite of my pros and cons. The children are all on their mother side. But when I come home, they will not see the mother but they will be with me. I use to wonder about their cleverness.
Many are asking me whether I have seen Ravanan. I saw it three times in Hindi, Tamil and Hindi. I liked it very much. The hard work and its beauty are all good work. After seeing Hindi Ravanan, I understood that what a powerful actor Vikram was. Some things I like it blindly. One such thing is Manirathnam. I am not fit to criticize him.”

Gowtham Menon speaks about Hindi VTV remake

When asked Gowtham Menon whether directing Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya in Hindi is a boring job, he said,” In fact I don’t like this. But to tell you the truth I am looking for a good break in Hindi. I wanted to remake Kaaka Kaaka with Abhishek in the lead role but somehow it did not work out.

My partner Elred Kumar without my knowledge had screened Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya in Mumbai. All the people including Ramesh Sippy and Anurag Kashyap have mentioned that this film should be definitely made in Hindi.

It will be a big release where there will be a lot of audience. Apart from the five songs by A R Rahman, he has promised to compose two more songs for this film. So I thought I can do this project in Hindi. I feel that this will be an interesting effort.”

Gowtham Vasudev Menon unveils 3 projects

Gowtham Vasudev Menon, an avid watcher of Hollywood and Foreign Films has been persistently inspired by those movies. Naturally, with his technical brilliance, the filmmaker has trivialized his minuses and is now all set to release his next film ‘Nadunisi Naaigal’. The film is produced and directed by Gowtham Menon under the banner of Photon Kathaas in collaboration with RS Infotainments Pvt. Ltd.

Apart from this film, the filmmaker will be producing two other films – Veppam and Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai. Gowtham Menon’s long time associate Anjana makes her debut directorial with ‘Veppam’ and the print ads have already being published. ‘Azhagar Saamyin Kuthirai’ is Susindran’s next after ‘Vennila Kabadi Kulu’ and yet to release ‘Naan Mahaan Alla’.

Gowtham Menon will meet the media channels tomorrow and unravel more information about the release of ‘Nadunisi Naaigal’ and status of other 2 projects.

Samira Reddy: I love Gowtham Menon

Samira Reddy says,” I am a great fan of Gowtham Menon. Though my role was small in Vaaranam Aayiram, I got lot of fans because of him. I love Gowtham Menon.”

Samira Reddy was a glamour doll in Bollywood but Gowtham Menon made her dress modestly in the film Vaaranam Aayiram and showed her as a beautiful angel. Because of this film, Samira Reddy had got a good name in Tamil cinema. Now again she is acting in Gowtham Menon’s film. The film is being produced by Gowtham Menon and is titled Nadunisi Naaigal. Samira Reddy eyes widen when she speaks about this film.

She said,” You will see a different Samira Reddy in this film. This film will create great thrill in the theatres. This film and I will be much spoken. I am not interested in glamour roles alone. I like to journey in everything.

Though my role in Vaaranam Aayiram was small I was able to earn lot of fans. But I was the heroine in Asal but many people did not like that. Now I will be choosy and act in selected films. I am a great fan of Gowtham Menon. It is a great gift for me to act once again in Gowtham Menon’s film. I love Gowtham Menon.

Both Asal and Vaaranam Aayiram had good stories. Above all I like Ajith and Gowtham Menon. That is why I agreed to act in these films. That doesn’t mean that I will act in the films directed by popular directors. I liked the Tamil film Kaaka Kaaka very much. So when Gowtham Menon called me to act in Vaaranam Aayiram, I was thrilled.”

Shreya in love with a Telugu actor

Shreya is currently acting in the Tamil films Chikku Bukku and Roudram. The last released Tamil film of hers was Jaggubhai. Raana is an upcoming actor in Telugu film industry.

Next he has been signed to do the lead role in Tamil and Telugu film directed by Gowtham Menon. There is news that Shreya and Raana are being seen together in Hyderabad.

Some leading actors have also seen both romancing in a five star hotel. A Telugu director while speaking about this, said,” Both Shreya and Raana are leading stars. Both of them came to know each other only a few months back. Their meeting took place in a film function.

After this they started meeting each other frequently. Their love was at first sight. They will be announcing about this in due course.”

Sameera Reddy likes Chennai fans very much

Sameera Reddy while speaking to the media said,” I like Chennai fans very much. There is tremendous response if I say that I am in Chennai in the Twitter.
I am really busy acting in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Bhojpuri films and that is why I am not able to act in Tamil films. Moreover I don’t want to act in glamorous roles. I did a small role in Vaaranam Aayiram but I got lot of fans.
But at the same time many did not like the role I did in Asal. So I want to select good roles and act in them. Many are asking me that who is my favourite hero. So far I have acted with two heroes only and how is it possible to tell that who my favourite hero is.
My favourite director is Gowtham Menon. I became his fan after seeing Kaaka Kaaka. Now I had got the opportunity to act in his films. That is a great gift to me. I love Gowtham Menon. I love scuba diving. Recently I had been to Thailand for diving. I have plans to go to Ireland.

Tabu joins Gowtham Menon

Tabu will be acting in a film directed by Gowtham Menon. Gowtham Menon after the film Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya is directing a film which is yet to be titled. New face Veera and Samira Reddy are in the lead roles.

This film which is a thriller has no songs or back ground music. Tabu is acting in an important role in this film. The shooting of this film is on progress.  The scenes pertaining to Tabu is yet to be shot.

Tabu was supposed to act in the film Pacchaikili Muthucharam but due to non availability of her call sheet, she could not act in that film.

Sameera Reddy's role in Gowtham Menon's film

Bollywood’s hottie Sameera Reddy seems to be riding high on seventh heaven with both her films Vaaranam Aayiram and recent release Asal winning her rave reviews. The actress has now almost completed shooting for Gowtham Menon’s untitled next. According to the sources, buzzes are that Sameera dons the role of a sex-worker and her overnight encounter with a stranger.

Gowtham Menon had started shooting for this film much prior to completion of his other project Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya slated to hit screens on February 26.


The untitled film is said to be an edge-of-the-seat thriller with actress Maheshwari’s brother Satish taking on the lead role. It seems that Gowtham has decided to avoid songs and the complete film will be shorter in duration, say 90 mins. Earlier, Gowtham Menon had plans about completing the film’s shooting by end of February that literally got delayed as he came up with a last minute plan of shooting ‘Aromalae’ song for Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, which was earlier not included in the film

Yes. Since it will take time to change the structure of the story, it requires time. Because of this I am not acting in it.

For the first time I am acting under the direction of Gowtham Menon. I use to enjoy his stylish films. This film will also be stylish. I am donning the role of an assistant director. I have started acting in good films. I will continue to choose good stories. Now you will be able to see a new Simbhu from now onwards.
About Direction?
I will give importance to acting. I am also directing films in regular intervals. This will continue.
Have you got idea of coming into politics?
For time being I have no such idea. I will think about it after I have achieved something in cinema
