Though the organizers have agreed to allow Namitha to stay off the program and nurse back to health, the actress has made it clear that she would attend the shoot as planned. Now, that’s what we call the epitome of sincerity.

CM has recommended Namitha for Ilaignan
Guess who has personally recommended Namitha for the character she is now playing in ‘Ilaignan’? It is none other than Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, who has scripted the film.
“It’s an honour that the Chief Minister himself has handpicked me for the role. Hopefully I would fulfill his expectations by giving my best to my character in Ilaignan”, the sexy siren says.
Throwing light on the role, she says, “I play a woman hailing from a mixed race- party English and partly Indian. It is a film set in the 1940s and my role could remind you that of Ramya Krishnan’s in Padayappa”.
On the film’s director Suresh Krishna, she says, “He is a cool man who makes his colleagues feel comfortable. The director behind many a blockbuster of Tamil cinema, it is a delight to work with him”.

Namitha once again by signing B- grade flicks
Namitha is known for her oomph, sex appeal and infectious smile. But lady luck has not been smiling on her as benignly as it should!
Today, Namitha resembles a cat on a hot tin roof. She’s smarting from the debacle of recent films like Jagan Mohini, Azhagana Ponnuthan and Guru Sishyan which seriously hurt her soaring ambitions and hit a roadblock.
So now Nami baby is extra cautious about not getting her hands burnt once again by signing B- grade flicks opposite newcomers or heroine oriented films. But the brave girl doesn’t really mind that success has eluded her and is looking forward to Ilaignan which is touted as her comeback film.
“My audiences and fans know me for a long time. I must say that I’ve been lucky with extremely kind people from the film fraternity and they all remember my good work and not too much of my bad work”, says the actress with a smile.
In Telugu, Nami is happy that her last release Simha is a huge hit and two of her films in which she has well-defined roles are ready to hit the screens.

Namitha: I wants to give importance to good roles
When asked Namitha that why she was not seen in many films in the recent times, she said,” Had I utilized the opportunities I got during the last four months, I would have been acting in more than fifteen films.
I am not interested to act in the same type of roles. If you continue to act in the same type of roles, the audience will get bored. Our respect will be go. So I avoided such roles.
I think that since I have chosen the wrong roles I am continuously getting same kind of roles. Now my expectations are good stories and characters, Now my only request to the directors is that they should come forward to give me good roles.
I acted in some films without understanding the true face of the directors. This has become wrong for me. In future I will see the faces of the director and will act in the films that have good storyline and role. I am firm in this.”

Namitha want to change my image
If Namitha is just an oomph girl in your opinion; it’s time for you to reconsider. For the actress says her concentration is now on doing varied roles and her forthcoming films would prove it true.
“I want to change my image. I want to act in roles which are more meaningful. And I am sure I will able to get rid of the image of being branded as a sexy actress with films like ‘Ilaignan’ in which I am doing a different character,” she says.
Explaining the reason, the actress, who is popular for wearing skimpy outfits says, “When my co-stars bag challenging roles, it disturbs me to some extent. But most directors insist I wear a bikini and shorts.”
Saying she would like to wear traditional outfits, especially sarees, Namitha adds: “I would like to act in roles like Sridevi in the film ‘Sadma’. Trust me I can act well and I am not for glamour alone.”
Are the directors listening?

Glamour queen Namitha is back
South India's glamour queen Namitha is back in Kollywood and will play a prominent role in Kalaignar Karunanidhi’s Ilaignan, directed by Suresh Krishna (of Annamalai and Baasha fame). The film has Pa. Vijay and Ramya Nambisan in the lead.
“I’m thrilled to do Ilaignan. My character is crucial to the development of the plot. It’s a very powerful role, a character with negative shades with which I get to experiment with my looks and costumes; something different and striking. I accepted the role because the story, screenplay and dialogues for the film have been penned by Kalaignar. It is also Suresh Krissna’s 50th film. It feels good to be a part of such a project,” she said to a leading English daily.
Interestingly, her recent Telugu release Simha, with superstar Balakrishna and Nayantara, is turning out to be the year’s biggest hit. There are also reports that the actress will soon produce films under her new banner

Who is next Namitha?
Now Namitha gone from Kollywood. So every one feel about Namitha. but we have another option who is Sruthi.
Hit director Sakthi Chidambaram used to be a big supporter of sex bomb Namitha.
But he fell out with her and is now taking revenge by introducing another bombshell Sruthi, formerly known as Hema Malini.
Sruthi in looks and body structure is a spitting image of the Amazonian Namitha. So Sakthi Chidambaram has cast her as the heroine in his new Sathyaraj- Sundar C mass masala Guru Sishyan.
The masala director has made it a point to make Sruthi look more like Namitha in the film especially in the hot and sizzling number shot on the beaches of Bali. Sruthi comes in a swimsuit in the film, and is said to be electrifying.
Today Guru Sishyan is releasing, and if the film is a B & C hit, Sruthi would emerge as the new Namitha of Kollywood!

Ajith wish to act Billa-2
Billa was remade with Ajith, Nayanthara and Namitha in the cast. The film was directed by Vishnuvardhan. This film is the remake of the super hit film Billa of 1980s. Vishnuvardhan remade this film in a hi-tech way and also succeeded.
After this Ajith had acted in Aegan but this film did not do well at the box office. So Ajith was lying low for some time and agreed to do the lead role in Asal.
This film also had Samira Reddy, Bhavana and Sampath in the cast. This film was released and is successfully running in theatres.
In between Ajith landed himself in trouble by his controversial speech at the Chief Minister’s felicitation function. The controversy grew so big to level Ajith quitting acting. But Chief Minister intervened and put an end to this controversy.
Now there is news that Ajith will be doing the lead role in the film titled Thuppariyum Anand which is being produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri who is Chief Minister M Karunanidhi grandson and son of cabinet minister M K Azhagiri. This film is to be directed by Gowtham Menon.

Namitha's Azhagana Ponnuthan Movie story
Is the craze for Namitha on the wane in her crucial Tamil Nadu rural B & C market?
There are hardly any buyers for her new film Azhagana Ponnuthan, as her market is at an all time low.
Take a look at her films in the last 18 months Thee, Perumal, 1977, Indira Vizha, Jaganmohini and first Tamil release of 2010 Nil Gavani Ennai Kaadhali, all sank without a trace.
Azhagana Ponnuthan has been slated for release for the last two months, but distributors are not showing much interest in the film, though the theme is about an older woman falling for a young guy. In the past films in this genre has worked wonders at TN box-office.
Meanwhile Namitha’s market in Kerala especially in Malabar area of the state is at an all time high and she is also wanted in Kannada films. Well Nami baby is made of sterner stuff and we are sure she will bounce back withAzhagana Ponnuthan!

Namitha doesn't have plane to turn homely
Southern spice Namitha is one actress who is clear on what kinda role her fans want from her. We saw her oozing out a different style of glamour in her recent ‘Jaganmohini’. In fact Namitha was the USP of the film and gave a treat for her fans.
The oomph girl made it clear and open that she is not for reducing her glam factor as her fans enjoy her that way.
Her fans are crazy enough that they have built a temple near Coimbatore for her, but sadly she has not yet visited it. Whenever she finds time Namitha flies to Mumbai to taste her mom’s recipes and enjoy with her family.
"I am happy to have genuine fans who want to see me in my best. They advise me sometimes about the type of roles I should do. Many of my fans say that I should not do away with my glamorous image. I know that glamour is my selling point and I have decided to stick to my sexy image and please my fans,” she told in a recent chit-o-chat.
Namitha is pinning all her hopes on ‘Nil Gavani Ennai Kadhali’, a dubbed version of her debut Malayalam venture ‘Black Stallion’ opposite to Kalabhavan Mani. Wait to see the hot girl as a bar dancer in this one. And a couple of steamy scenes are expected to turn on the heat as well…

I want to see Namitha in half saree at least in one film and fulfill my dream. Big actresses like Namitha should act wearing half sarees. Seeing them girls will start wearing half sarees.” Namitha while speaking said,” I also want to act wearing half saree. But nobody gives me such roles.
They are only showing me glamorously. My fans also prefer to see me in glamour roles.”FEFSI President V C Guganathan, play back singer Chitra, directors Pramod, Bappan and producer Jagadish Chandran also spoke on this occasion.

Nil Gavani Ennai Kadhali movie audio launch
The sexy bombshell Namitha’s first trilingual, Kicchu Films Nil Gavani Ennai Kadhali in Tamil had its audio launch at Four Frames Preview theatre in Chennai.
This is her first Malayalam film titled as Black Stallion which will also have its Telugu dubbed version.
The function had VC Guhanathan, Sivasakthi Pandian, Namitha and hero Bala were also present. The music of the film is by Abhishek who is a sound engineer working with James Vasanth and Chitra. Both James and Chitra were present to encourage him on his debut venture.
The film is directed by Pramod and Pappan and was completed in 35 days with Namitha, Kalabavan Mani, Bala, Ashish Vidyarthi and Pawan in the lead. Four songs were screened which showed a very sexy and glamourous Namitha dancing in club numbers, a rain song and even a folk song.
Lyricist turned actor Snehan was present and requested that one day Namitha do a role in pavadai dhavani to which Namitha replied that going the other extreme of glamour would not be accepted by her fans who are used to her glamourous image.
Namitha was excited about this project and said, “This is my first film in Malayalam and though I got many offers earlier I was apprehensive about the working schedules there. But this team was very co-operative and don’t be surprised if I do another film with the same producer. The role gave me lots of scope to perform and the glam scenes are only in the songs, in the film I am covered from head to toe!”
Replying to a comment about actors not coming for their film functions, she added, “I always come to functions of my films and even for others unless there is a family emergency, ill health or if I am shooting outside the city. Actors are people too but I apologise if I have not been able to come for any function.”

Mumaith Khan replace the position of Namitha
Mumaith Khan is making waves in Kollywood after the En Peru Meena Kumari…. song from Kanthaswamy became a rage as it was repeatedly played on music channels. She has not only been appreciated but has the masses swearing by her.
According to a director who makes mass films: “ Mumaith Khan has the necessary oomph and the sparkle in her eyes which worked wonders with the audiences. She is now in a position to replace Namitha who has become too monotonous and predictable.”Last week she flew down from Mumbai to Chennai and came dressed in a white chiffon sari for the audio launch of her Pournami Naagam, and was the cynosure of all eyes. At the function there was a new found respect for her as leading producers waxed eloquent about her professionalism and dedication to her work.
Mumaith Khan has signed two new films which were to go to Namitha, upsetting the senior who has hardly any new Tamil films. However, Namitha too is a fighter and will not give up easily.
She has now reinvented herself and become bolder with her Malayalam film Black Stallion getting dubbed in Tamil as Nil Gavani Ennai Kadhali, the film which she has exposed the most. Namitha is working out new strategies to keep Mumaith at bay. But Mumaith Khan has decided to take her head on and win the battle for supremacy among oomph girls in Kollywood!

Nil Kavani Ennai Kadhali- very hot Namitha
Namitha has exposed her flesh excessively in the Malayalam film Black Stalin. She has acted more glamorously in this film than the Tamil films.
She has acted intimately and with vulgarity in rain and swimming pool scenes with Kalabavanmani. She has overdone the love making scenes with the hero Bala in this film. Kerala Film Industry says that she has exceeded even Shakeela.
This film is being dubbed in Tamil with the title Nil Kavani Ennai Kadhali. Mean while Namitha glamour stills have been posted in the net. All the websites are eagerly publishing her sexy photos. While speaking about this Namitha said,” I have acted glamorously in this film because the story demanded it. I was also brought out my acting talents in this film.”
