Lingusamy and Arya New Friends in town

Director Lingusamy is always well known for sharing good rapport with his friends. Indeed, he has shared a good relationship with certain actors, producers and directors. The latest one to join his gang of friends is none other than actor Arya. The actor is now joining hands with Lingusamy for the film ‘Vettai’.

The film is produced at a bigger budget by Durai Dayanidhi Azhagiri of Cloud Nine Productions. This film will be one of the biggest flicks in the career of Arya as Lingusamy himself has admitted that it is gonna be a Run for Madhavan, Sandaikozhi for Vishal and Paiyaa for Karthi.

Recently, Arya and Mysskin discussed the script of ‘Mugamudi’. The film was earlier supposed to feature Suriya in lead role and Ayngaran International was to produce the film at a budget of Rs.35Crores and didn’t happen due to difference of opinions.

Impressed with the storyline and gripping narration, Mysskin was recommended by Arya to Lingusamy. What’s the result? Lingusamy is going to produce the film under his home banner ‘Tirupathi Brothers’ and they are looking forward to sign the biggest brand names for this film.

Apart from this film, Lingusamy has linked Balaji Sakthivel and Arya for another film and the official announcements will be made shortly.

We reported that Mysskin has confirmed Arya for ‘Mugamudi’ which was planned having Suriya in mind. Arya plays a martial arts expert who is a killing machine in the film. So, Mysskin is insisting that Arya becomes a trained professional before the shooting starts.

To help Arya train in Kung Fu, Mysskin is bringing Kung Fu master from Okinawa to teach the difficult art. ‘Mugamudi’ is said to be a 35 crore project and Mysskin is leaving no stones unturned to bring in all commercial elements into the film.

Lingusamy who has been announced as the producer of ‘Mugamudi’ will also chip in with his valuable comments as he has many commercial block busters under him as a director.

Arya team up with Mysskin

'Boss Engira Baskaran' has worked wonders to Arya's career, one has to say. The actor, who is much in demand these days, has announced 'Vettai' with Lingusamy just days after the release of 'Boss Engira Baskaran'.

And now, Mysskin, one of the promising directors of Tamil cinema, has eyed on Arya. He would soon start a project with the actor, which would be produced by Lingusamy's Tirupathi Brothers.

"The new venture will be straight contrast to earlier Mysskin films. He would start the project after completing the post production works of ‘Yudham Sei’, which has Cheran in the lead", sources say.

Confirming this, Arya too has said: "Mysskin's one-line narration was interesting". The actor is currently busy with 'Avan Ivan', directed by Bala, who made 'Naan Kadavul' with Arya earlier.

Karthi: I learn a lot of from Arya

Actor Karthi never fails to appreciate talent. The actor, still basking in the success of Naan Mahaan Alla, found some time off to watch his friend Arya's latest movie Boss engira Baskaran. Karthi was all praises for Arya's acting in the movie. He was so impressed that he watched the movie for the second time. Karthi also revealed that he has leant a lot of from Arya having observed him closely from the days of Ullam Ketkume. Looks like these two are real Nanbenda.

Actor is also happy because he has been roped in as the brand ambassador of Airtel for the southern region. We can see him on television very soon asking "Indraiku enna plan".

“Arya will reach greater heights than Vishal and Karthi”

Director Lingusamy is known for giving several hits in the past, particularly with Vishal (Sanda Kozhi), Madhavan (Run) and Karthi (Paiyya). He is now directing Vettai for which he had roped in Arya as the lead star.

To a question on why he chose Arya for the role, Lingusamy had said that Arya had always wanted to be a part of his project and Vettai seemed to be the right choice. The director added that he had no doubt that Arya would reach greater heights than Vishal, Madhavan and Karthi.

Vettai is being produced by Durai Dayanidhi for Cloud Nine and Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music.

Vijay has replaced by Arya in Vettai movie

Director Lingusamy will commence his next project, titled Vettai, with Arya. This movie will be produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri’s Cloud Nine. Nirav Shah has been signed up to handle the camera and Yuvan Shankar Raja will score the music, a source reports.

Now, was it not the same team – Cloud Nine, Lingusamy, Nirav Shah and Yuvan – that was announced for a Vijay starrer? Enquiries reveal that it is indeed so but Vijay was replaced with Arya. However, neither the producer nor the director gave any definite reasons for the replacement.

Vettai is expected to commence soon and more announcement on this project is awaited.

Arya speaks about his love Gossips

There were rumors that Arya and Pooja are in love. When asked Arya about this, he said,” The news that I am in love with Pooja and Nila are all false and wrong. So far I am not in love with anyone.

There was also news that I gave a separate birthday party for Nayanthara. It is not true. Many of them took part in this party including Nayanthara.

The film Boss Engira Baskaran in which Nayanthara has paired with me is doing well at the box office. This is the best comedy film. Nayanthara cooperated well in this film. I cannot say when I will get married.

It will happen when the time comes. My horoscope says that mine will be a love marriage. I will be happy if it happens. I have also started a production company with the name Show People and am producing films. The shooting of Bala’s film Avan Ivan in which I am acting is almost getting completed. I am ready to do villain roles.”

Nayanthara participated in a chat show in a private television channel

Boss Engira Baskaran, directed by Rajesh, has opened to a tremendous response and the film is on its way to become a super-hit. BEB’s lead pair Arya and Nayanthara, along with director Rajesh, participated in a chat show in a private television channel hosted by Anu Hasan. It was, in fact, a surprise for film buffs to see Nayanthara in such shows as she is generally not seen in such programs or promotional events. However, it was a delight to watch her on the show as she was her spontaneous self and more than anything, it was good to hear the lady speak in Tamil fluently. Wonder why she does not dub for herself. She and Arya were at their witty best and pulled each other’s legs. All in all, it was Nayan’s show all the way!

Boss Engira Baskaran telugu version is Nene Ambani

Arya's 'Boss Engira Baskaran' is making waves in Andhra Pradesh too. The film has been dubbed in Telugu and the title of the Tollywood version is 'Nene Ambani'.

Remember Arya is not new to Telugu audience as he played a crucial negative role in Allu Arjun's 'Varudu' which hit screens a few months ago and won appreciations for his performance.

Besides, heroine of 'Boss Engira Baskaran' Nayantara is a popular actress in Tollywood too and Yuvan Shankar Raja, who has scored music for the film, has earned enormous goodwill in Telugu with songs from the dubbed versions of his Tamil films topping the charts there.

Directed by Rajesh M, 'Boss Engira Baskaran' is produced by Vasan Visual Ventures and released by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies and Arya's The Show People. The film opened to 100 per cent occupancy in theatres all over Tamil Nadu Friday.

Superb opening for Boss Engira Baskaran

‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ has got a terrific opening if the advance booking sources are to be believed. The film is expected to have a 100 per cent box office for the week end. In many theaters in Chennai the bookings for the week have closed on Wednesday itself.

‘BEB’ is going to be the film of this week. Director Rajesh has his own fan following after the neat romantic comedy ‘Siva Manasula Sakthi’ last year. Arya has tried comedy and Nayantara is adding that glitter. Santhanam’s comedy is also going to be a highlight of the film.

With a middle class family back drop this comedy is a right way to celebrate this long weekend.

Boss Engira Baskaran to reach success in box office

With less than 72 hours left for the release of ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’, director of the film Rajesh is brimming with hope that this second venture of him too would strike a right chord among the film buffs.

“A decent script, when presented with right ingredients, would always receive a warm reception from the audience. I believe ‘Boss Engira Baskaran’ has all these things in a right combination,” he says.

“Coupled with these things are the beautiful performances by the lead actors Arya, Nayantara and Santhanam,” he says and adds: “The three have delivered their best. You can expect a laughathon in theatres.”

Thanking all the three producers (Udhayanidhi Stalin, Arya and K S Srinivasan) who are involved in the project, Rajesh adds: “Fault will be mine if I fail to appreciate the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. He has given beautiful songs and wonderful background score.”

Arya's Chikku Bukku movie audio review

This is the second outing for Hariharan and Leslie Lewis in Tamil cinema as music directors. The songs are global in feel, a hint of every world culture. ‘Adi Saarale’ is a semi-classical soulful number by Suvi and Pradeep Vijay. The 'Bukku' title track is a foot-tapping number in the voices of Maya, Rahul Nambiar and Benny Dayal. Shankar Mahadevan, Chandrayee Battacharya and Uma Padmanabhan croon the rustic ‘Oru Nila’. ‘Smile’ sung by Suchith Suresan is a latino inspired ballad. Sufi meets ghazal in ‘Thooral Nindralum’ in the soul stirring voices of Hariharan and the Wadali Brothers. The romantic duets ‘Vizhi Oru Paadhi’ by Sujatha and Adnan Sami and ‘Zara Zara’ by Lavanya and Benny Dayal are sure to be chart-busters

Arya speaks about Nayanthara

Arya is going on laughing these days. The reason is not that he has paired with Nayanthara but for acting in a full length comedy film Boss Engira Baskaran. Arya while speaking about this film said,” Nayanthara and Santhanam along with me have played relentless comedy pranks.

In the name of comedy there will be no double meaning dialogues or vulgarity. Many are asking me about Nayanthara’s personal matter. As far as I am concerned Nayanthara is a matured performer. She does not see her acting with her personal life.

She is also ready to act even in intimate scenes if the story demanded it. When Santhanam and me try to pull her leg in the film, she didn’t bother her image. I doubt that we will get an actress like her. There is also a question frequently asked that whether I am choosing my roles and acting.

In that way I am lucky. Is it possible for me to ask the story of Naan Kadavul and than say yes to Bala? To act in a Bala’s film one should be lucky. It is not a easy matter to get a good director and producer. It is all God’ grace.”
