Vishnu: I was a translator for Pia

Vishnu made his debut in the lead role in the film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and is now currently acting in Droghi and Kullanari Kootam. His film Bale Pandiya has been released recently.
There is news that Pia and you have become very intimate during the shooting of Bale Pandiya?
I never expected this question. Pia does not know Tamil but I know Hindi. Because of this while speaking to others she will use me as a translator. Then she made me her assistant to teach her dialogue delivery and acting. Seeing this somebody must have spread the rumors. Pia is a very intelligent girl. When she starts the dialogues, we do not know where she began and when is she going to stop. She will also not signal. Because of this I had to go for many takes. I used to be scolded by the director who will say,” The girl who does not know Tamil speak it fluently and you who know Tamil stumble.” Pia is the reason for all this. Let her live happily wherever she is.
For the first time you are doing action hero role in Droghi?
Yes. I got this unexpected opportunity. The director of the film, Sudha is a terror. She is the student of Manirathnam. She use to say,” There should always be fire in us. Your looks should be like that you are going to hit or kick someone.” Normally I am very calm person. But she changed me just the opposite. Droghi will be an important film in my career.
We think the shooting spot must have been colorful because of the heroines Pooja, Poorna and Poonam Bajwa?
In the film Poorna is donning the role of my sister. We both are like cats and mouse. In a scene I had to slap Poorna. I slapped her mildly. But Sudha said that was not enough and I shout hit her strongly. I slapped her hardily. The take was Okayed but Poorna ran into her caravan and started weeping. Her hard work will make this film a success. Poonam Bajwa dons the role of my lover. There is lots of romance between us two. Here also Hindi helped me.

Bale Pandiya Movie review

Banner AGS Entertainment
Cast Vishnu, Piaa, Gibran, Vivek
Director Siddharth Chandrasekhar
Music Devan Ekambaram
AGS Entertainment's Bale Pandiya, directed by debut Siddharth Chandrasekhar with Vishnu and Piaa in the lead roles, is a comedy flick which has striking similarities with many earlier movies in which the protagonist considers himself "born unlucky" in the world and wants to kill himself. Kudos to the crew members who have tried to deliver a blend of comedy, action and romance with beautiful songs and action, which works at most points.

The film revolves around Pandiya (Vishnu), who believes that he is unluckiest man and deciding to end his life, hires a professional killer AKP to bump him off! AKP makes a deal that he will send Pandiya as a human bomb to an event. To make sure that Pandiya spends his last few days with no worries, he gifts him with a debit card worth Rs. 25 lakhs. Pandiya's life takes a U turn from then on!

He resolves his family problems, meets Vaishnavi (Piaa) and falls in love with her. Pandiya, no longer anxious to leave his body, decides to cancel the deal with AKP and arrives at his house with Vaishnavi, where they are shocked to see AKP and his men brutally murdered. What happens next forms the racy second half.

The first half is quite funny as it narrates Pandiya's misadventures: a trailer bus splitting into two when Pandiya gets in, a girl he loves falling in love with his friend and an astrologer dying while writing his horoscope. The long episodes of Pandiya's flashback could have been trimmed; possibly the director could have limited the protagonist's misadventures in the title song itself. The second half is a bit serious, bouncing from a comedy flick to a mass masala flick.

Vishnu, who returns to the silver screen after a refreshing debut in Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu, deserves appreciation for his commendable performance as a frustrated young man with no will to live. Piaa has little to do except look pretty. Vivek's lengthy role as a London citizen who comes to India in search of his lady love is fantastic. Devan Ekambaram's music is mind-boggling and the cinematography looks sleek and stylish. All in all, Bale Pandiya is a decent entertainer but it could have been even better!

Bale Pandiya should be Friday treat for Kollywood fans

You know that the director of ‘Bale Pandiya’ is a creative designer and his expertise is seen in every inch of the film. Right from the colours to the pleasantly side-splitting promotional trailers Siddharth Chandrashekar has turned many new leaves in promotional techniques.

If print campaigns are not enough to score the points we learn that Siddharth has modified a SUV and made it look out of the world just for the film. We hear that he has completely redone the interiors which will create “I too want it that way” feeling in the minds of all car owners when the film is released.

‘Bale Pandiya’ releasing this Friday is expected to surprise with good initials as the movie has caught the fancy of fun loving youngsters. Vishnu has done a fabulous job in the film. Remember his dialogue in the trailer “I have 10000 rupees, you have to kill me sir”! The film is going to be a hilarious hit you bet.

Don’t miss the redesigned SUV when you watch the film folks!

Bale Pandiya movie has the happy Song

With the audio launched on Sunday, ‘Bale Pandiya’ seems to be receiving an encouraging response from the public. With the album having a nice mixture of songs, the song that is making the waves off the screen (and expect it to make waves on the screen as well) is “Happy”.
With his confession about the song being tuned in the bathroom, director Siddharth exclaimed that music composer Devan tuned it in the bathroom and called him on his mobile and made Siddharth listen to the tune to which he instantly agreed.
Siddharth added that twenty singers were involved in singing the song and the song was shot with all the 20 singers in Pondicherry in 4 days. Talking about the director’s feat, Devan said, Siddharth always thought unconventionally and he tried something different.
The singers involved were, Devan himself along with Haricharan, Naresh Iyer, Naveen Madhav, Paravai Munniamma, Malaysia Vasudevan, Ranjith, Aalaap Raju, Raqueeb Alam, Anuradha Sriram, Srinivas, Velumurugan, Manikkavinayagam, Mukesh, Malgudi Subha, Divya Vijay, Anitha, Suchithra, Vijay Yesudas and Rahul Nambiar.
20 singers in 1 Song is a record! Wait for the release of ‘Bale Pandiya’ to catch the excitement in the ‘Happy’ song!
