Jeyam ravi's Ich title changed as Engeyum Kadhal

Early this month we had said that two films with fancy small titles, Pushkar-Gayatri directed ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ and the other is Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’, may go in for title changes.

Cloud Nine Movies Dhayanidhi Alagiri had said his ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ will stay. He explained the title saying ‘Va’ means the fractional number one fourth written in Tamil and ‘Quarter Cutting’ is just a tag and not the title.

But Prabhu Deva hasn’t got an acceptable explanation for the title and so has changed ‘Ich’ to ‘Engeyum Kadhal’. Music Director of the film Harris Jayaraj has confirmed the title change and he also has said from where the title has been grabbed.

The title has been taken from the lead song of the film. Of course the new title is far better than the previous one. Interestingly only a couple of days ago Prabhu Deva had gone public saying he loves Nayantara and they soon will marry. Engeyum Kadhal, Eppodhum Kadhal.

Cloud Nine may change the title of Jeyamravi's Ich

Two films with fancy small titles are contemplating how that will be received. One is Pushkar-Gayatri directed ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ and the other is Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’. Both films are backed by reputed banners, Cloud Nine Movies and AGS Entertainers respectively.

While speaking at the audio launch function of ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’, Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies categorically said the title of the film is only ‘Va’ and Quarter Cutting’ is just a tag line. He also said ‘Va’ is a clear Tamil title and hoped it will pass through all stipulation and regulations (Read tax exception for Tamil titles).

For the Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’ there may be a decision soon to change the title. Apparently people feel the ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Hansika Motwani starrer title is not Tamil enough for obvious reasons. What could be the new tile? Sources say they have a long but catchy title ‘Ennai Vittu Odi Poga Mudiyuma’ under consideration. We like it.

Both the films are at the final stages and will hit the theatres this year. ‘Va’ had its music release last week and ‘Ich’ is all complete but for two songs.

Jeyam ravi - Hansika's Ich movie shooting has completed

Prabhu Deva's directorial venture Ich, starring Jayam Ravi and Hansika Motwani in the lead roles, has completed its final shooting schedule recently. The first schedule was delayed due to some untimely rain, and the whole cast and crew worked overtime to make up for the lost time.

"The shoot in Paris was unforgettable. The character I play in the film is probably one that is closest to my heart. Lolitha, as the hero Ravi calls me in the film, is funny, feisty and very now. The mood on the sets and its extended shoot in some of the beautiful locations in Paris has been nothing but fun and that's exactly what the film is all about," Hansika said to a leading daily

Though the name of the character Hansika Motwani playing in ‘Ich’, directed by Prabhudeva, is Lalitha, ‘Jayam’ Ravi, the protagonist of the film would call her Lolitha throughout the movie.

“There is a specific reason behind his calling me Lolitha and you would know it once the film gets released,” the actress, who has returned from Paris after completing the shoot of the movie, says.

Happy about bagging promising projects in Tamil, she says, “I am thrilled that my first three films in Kollywood are with three big stars- Ravi, Dhanush and Vijay. All of them are very cooperative and helpful.”

She adds: “While ‘Ich’ is a romantic entertainer, both ‘Mappillai’ and ‘Velayudham’ are mass movies, which would appeal to all sections of the audience. I am waiting with excitement for the release of these films.”

Thillalangadi Movie review

Cast Jayam Ravi, Tamannaah, Shaam, Prabhu, Suhasini, Vadivelu, Santhanam
Direction Raja
Production Editor Mohan
Music Yuvanshankar Raja
Cinematography B. Rajasekhar
After a string of blockbusters to his credit, remake king Jayam Raja and brother Jayam Ravi is back with their next venture Thillalangadi, a remake of the Telugu hit Kick. Jayam Ravi and Tamannaah play the lead roles and Shaam reprises his role from the original. Ravi has returned to his chocolate boy look after donning an action hero's look in Peranmai. This is Ravi's first film after marriage; Prabhu and Suhasini play pivotal roles; Vadivelu provides comic relief; music is scored by Yuvanshankar Raja.

Produced by Editor Mohan, the film is an out-and-out entertainer with peppy songs. Thillalangadi is the story of an intelligent thief who loots money from the rich and the famous, so who is that thief? Will he get caught? Watch out for the film!

The Plot

Thillalangadi is the story of a young man Ravi (Krishna) who is adventurous and seeks excitement in his everyday life. The urban, smart and cool-headed guy finds it difficult to stick to any job. But destiny dictates that he meet Nisha (Tamannaah), and fall in love with her. Prabhu and Suhasini play caring parents of Ravi.

Nisha sets a condition that he must stick to one job if he wants to marry her. But when she learns that Krishna has quit his new job immediately after joining, she is disillusioned and decides to leave him. She then decides to move to Malaysia, where she meets police officer (Shaam) and decides to marry him. Shaam is on a mission to nab a thief which naturally turns out to be Krishna. How Krishna manages to evade arrest and also win back his lady love forms the remaining part of the story.

The Performance

Director Jayam Raja has made every effort to efficiently deliver this action-packed adventure filmed extensively in Malaysia. The first half has loads of humour with Ravi, Vadivelu and Santhanam. The on-screen chemistry between Tamannaah and Ravi is convincing. Tamannaah dishes out a satisfactory performance as she perfectly fits her assigned role. Tamannaah as Nisha oozes glamour. The director has fine-tuned his approach and manages to pull off a good entertainer.

B. Rajasekhar's camera work is a highlight; Yuvanshankar Raja's music is just up to the mark. Ravi, as usual, stands out with his performance as he oozes energy with matching dialogues. Shaam makes a memorable performance which is the major highlight of the film.

The Verdict

Overall, the film gives light-hearted entertainment that will definitely not disappoint anyone. This is a flashy film with a predictable plot and loads of action.

Jeyam Ravi: Tamanna looks very glamorous in Thillalangadi

There is a lot of talk about Thamanna’s Thillangadi. It seems she looks very glamorous in this film. When asked Jayam Ravi about this, he laughed. Further while speaking about this film, he said,” This will be the first high budgeted film of our company.

Because lot of actors is acting, the expenses have been increased. You can laugh at each scene. Vadivelu, Santhanam, Ganja Karuppu and Sathyan are doing comedy with me. Many are asking me whether there was ego problem among them. Ego is not a negative matter. When we think our role should come well, that itself is ego.

But this is strength to a film and not weakness. Both Santhanam and Vadivelu have really rocked in the comedy scenes. If you see the film, you can come to know that how genius is Vadivelu. Santhanam is for the first time donning a role that nobody has donned so far.

Thamanna has become very close to us. She invited the whole Thillalangadi team for lunch at her house in Mumbai. Thamanna has for the first time had acted in glamorously in this film. Most of the audience would be stunned by her looks.

After the shooting was completed the whole team presented her a cake and bouquet. During this send off, she had tears in her eyes. After doing this comedy film, I am acting in a serious role in Ameer’s Aadhi Bhaghavan. You will see Ameer through me.”

Tamanna speaks about Summer releases

Thamanna who is currently acting with Jayam Ravi in Thillangadi gave a small interview:
About Thillangadi?
This film is a remake of the Telugu hit Film Kick. Jayam Raja is directing this film. I am pairing with Jayam Ravi.
Our combination will be totally different in this film. All the songs have come out well.  Choreographer Shobi has specially designed special movements for me in this film. Cinematographer Rajashekar has captured me in a different dimension. The film has come out well. See the film and tell me.
What kind of role you are doing in Vijay starrer Sura?
I am acting in this film under the direction of S P Rajkumar in this film. I am donning the role of a city girl and this is the first film I am pairing with Vijay.
Is there any difference of opinion between Nayanthara and you?
For some reasons Nayanthara did not act in Paiyya. Because of this somebody has to act in her place. They selected me to do this role. Since I liked the story I agreed to act in this film and moreover they paid me the salary I demanded. So I acted in this film. There is nothing wrong in this. There is no problem between Nayanthara and me as you mentioned.
Are you interested in working in Hindi films?
I have got a place for me in Tamil films. For time being I am not interested in acting in Hindi films. But if I get the opportunity I wouldn’t refuse to act provided it is a good story.

Heroes refuse Nayanthara

http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_RTP-BVj6yVs/SRSkznlTX4I/AAAAAAAAJcU/TJnpiYT_maY/s400/Nayantara_+05.jpg

Having been wedged between the controversies and continuous flops, actress Nayanthara hasn't been running out of offers.

After developing a special relationship with Prabhu Deva, he has been recommending her for various films. Seems that the choreographer had approached Salman Khan about casting her in Wanted sequel titled 'Most Wanted'. But the actor has turned down this offer saying that he prefers working with Asin.

On the pars, Prabhu Deva strictly ordered Jeyam Ravi to pair up with Nayanthara in the film he's going to direct him. When Jeyam Ravi requested him that he's ready to pair with any actresses but not Nayan, Prabhu Deva indeed informed producer about backing off from the project. Nonetheless, Jeyam Ravi has no worries since many producers have been showing keen interest to work with him followed by success of 'Peranmai'.
