KV Anand makes record with ‘Ko’
Phantom Flex camera is an ultra speed camera which is billed as the world's most flexible, digital cinema camera. One has to be very innovative to use this new age camera. Director-Cameraman KV Anand who is always the first one willing to try anything new has handled the new age camera for his film ‘Ko’.
The camera was exhibited for the first time in Indian at the Cinema Today Exhibition in Chennai last month. The distributor of the camera was against using it because it was only a prototype and still in the demo period. But KV Anand was particular to using it because he was very clear that only this camera will capture the essence of the unique shot he had planned for the film.
After the moment KV Anand said “Just in case of emergency and as back up we had the older version of the Phantom-Flex 'Phantom-Gold' ready with us. But our ultra speed camera worked just fine.”
By this KV Anand has become the first cameraman - director who to use this ultra tech gadget in India and only second in the world. The only other crew to use the ultra speed ‘Phantom-Flex’ is the new James Bond movie team.
