Remma speaks about Aayirathil Oruvan

Reema Sen has finally revealed something about her character in Aayirathil Oruvan. All these months she was reticent about divulging any details about the movie, giving the excuse that Selvaraghavan would not be too happy about it. The long delayed movie is now touted to be ready for a Pongal release, but has not yet been confirmed. It is in this scenario that Reema talked about her role in the movie. She said that her character in the movie was one that had multiple dimensions. Calm, furious, enticing, and stubborn and many other facets were contained in her character which she believes will be a turning point in her career. She also said that post Aayirathil Oruvan she would cut down on the glamour roles in the movies. She said that only roles of substance will attract her henceforth. However she is not totally against glamour and said that she is game for glamour if it was genuinely required in the script.
The big news about Reema Sen is however something completely different. Reema Sen is no longer Reema Sen. Don’t get the drift, she has changed her name (like many contemporary actors) to Rimma; her surname will no longer feature on screen. She thus joins a host of stars like Suriya, Jiiva etc.. who have chosen to change the spelling of their screen names. It might be numerology that changed Reema to Rimma, according to the current popular trend. Let’s see if a change in name can bring about a change in fortunes for the actress. All the best Rimma.

Audio launch of Powrnami Naagam

Kannan who directed the thriller film Yaar is now directing a film based on snake titled Powrnami Naagam. Glamour doll Mumaith Khan is donning dual role in this film. Karunas is donning an important role in this film.
The audio launch of this film was held at Film Chamber theatre. Film Chamber President K R G headed this event while Tamil Producers Council President Ramanarayanan presided. The audio CD was released by Tamil Film Directors Association President Bharathiraja which was received by FEFSI President V C Guganathan. Mumaith Khan participated in this event. Though she is a Mumbai glamour girl, she came to this event wearing saree. Everybody was surprised because of this. Most of the film personalities praised her beauty while some spoke about her acting.
Film Producers Council Secretary Sivasakthi Pandian while speaking on this occasion said, “Those who make films on snake have never were put to loss so far in the history. You will definitely profit if you show snake in a film. Films like Manavi Oru Manickam, Velli Kilamai Viradham and Neeya based on snakes have been successful. This film Powrnami Naagam will also be successful like these films.”
FEFSI President V C Guganathan while speaking said,” I have read a book titled Thamarai Kangal. Mumaith Khan has got that. She has is beautiful and she has got everything at the appropriate place. I want to request one thing to her. Please don’t increase your salary. Many of the actress dont not come for the audio launch functions. But Mumaith Khan has respected the crew and has attended this event. I am appreciating her for this.”
Actor Karunas while speaking said,” I am really proud to act with Mumaith Khan. During the dance sequence I was reluctant to touch her, but she encouraged by hugging me and asked me to dance without any inhibitions. After this I danced perfectly.”
Tamil Film Producers Vice President S A Chandrasekaran, Secretary K Muralidharan, Directors Association Secretary R K Selvamani, FEFSI Treasurer A Shanmugam, actor Aditya Menon and music composer S A Raj Kumar spoke on this occasion. Producer Maheswara Reddy had welcomed the gathering while director Yaar Kannan thanked the guests.

Jeevan speaks about Naan Avan Illai-2

Actor Jeevan is back after a long gap, with Naan Avan Illai 2 , directed by Selva. A sequel to the older hit film in which he played hero opposite five girls, in the this film too Jeevan plays a similar character but with a twist in the end. We catch up with him to find out more about his role, his films and the way his career is going.
Are you happy with the response to Naan Avan Illai-2?
Yes immensely happy. I have been speaking to all the distributors down south and along with the exhibitors they have all told me only one thing, ‘sir we are more than happy with the response to your film.’ People are enjoying it in the theatres and clapping at the comic scenes. The film is visually appealing and is a light entertainer.
Did you have any qualms playing a guy who cons women?
Not really. The hero only cons women who have cheated on others or use people to their advantage. There is a subtle message in the film for women to be careful of such men in real life. We have done it without being preachy.
Your film has released after a long gap. Don’t you think that the strategy is risky?
Yes, it’s true that Thotta was my last release in 2008. I want to do at least three films in a year but it just don’t happe the way you plan. Sometimes things don’t work the way, you want to due to reasons beyond your control.
What other films do you have on hand?
I have Krishna Leelai ready for release opposite Meghna, a new girl from Karnataka. It’s a Kavithalaya production and should release soon.
What sort of films do you want to do in future? Any plans of doing the realistic cinema that’s the rage now?
I want to do films where the producer, distributor and exhibitor and audience get their money’s worth. I want to do cinema which entertains.
With the competition heating up, do you have a plan of action for the future?
I don’t really plan my career. I feel you get what you deserve and not what you desire. The competition doesn’t worry me even an iota.

Parvathi want good roles

Poo, directed by Sasi, was acknowledged as one of the best realistic films of 2009. The new find Parvathi had done an excellent job as a village belle who was madly in love with the hero but sacrificed her love for his happiness. Her acting histrionics impressed many critics and the audience loved her realistic performance.
Post Poo, Parvathi was not seen in Kollywood horizon. When the reasons were probed, she states, “After having done a meaty role in Poo, I am looking for scripts that can showcase my acting talent. Though I got many offers, they were not to my liking.” The actress also said that she is not in a tearing haste to accept offers right, left and centre and is willing to wait for the right one. Currently she is doing a couple of projects in Kannada.

Vijay in Confused for Vettaikaran

Looks like our Ilaya Thalapathy is a little confused these days. After finishing ‘Vettaikkaran’, the hero is busy working for ‘Sura’. We hear that Vijay has requested the producer and director of ‘Sura’ to finish the film as soon a possible, as it’s been long since his last film ‘Villu’ was released.
Meanwhile the actor who was confused with issues regarding his political entry and ‘Vettaikkaran’ release delay, is concentrating in hearing scripts for his 51st film. First he was listening to the scripts of Ramana, K.V.Anand, Lingusamy, ‘Jayam’ Raja, Siddique and Fazil, the latest is Seeman. But now we hear another hot news from the actor’s circuit.
Sources say that Vijay has backed from his latest decision as well. We earlier had it that Vijay will be working with Seeman soon. But, now we hear that Vijay will be signing the safe entertainer of ‘Jayam’ Raja as per his daddy dear’s advice. The reason behind this sudden twist is said to be the script of ‘Jayam’ Raja, they say.

Dhanush joins Hansika Motwani in his next project Maapillai

Dhanush’s Maappilai has started rolling in Chennai and all eyes are on its leading lady Hansika Motwani the new entrant to Kollywood, where there is a dearth of heroines.
She is just 18, and has already done 10 films so far in Hindi and Telugu and one Kannada film out of which 8 are super hits.
So is this striking new face going to give the current hot favourite Tamannaah stiff competition?
She has already snatched the youngest heroine tag from Tammu, but the cute looking Hansika says: “I’m competing with myself first, as my aim is to improve my performance in every film of mine. I’m not bothered about what others are doing and I want to excel in what I do”.
Interestingly, Hansika was to make her Kollywood debut in director Vishnuvardhan’s Sarwam, which did not happen. But now she is happy, as she considers Mappillai as a perfect launch film in which she plays heroine to Dhanush, one of the top heroes in Tamil cinema.
Adds Hansika who has the perfect balance of glamour and quintessential girl-next-door looks: “I am having a blast shooting with Dhanush, and Vivek in Chennai. I am open to do more Tamil films”.
So are Kollywood film makers listening?

Sarah's Charector in Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai

One of Vishal’s heroines in his upcoming ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ (TVP) has hinted about her role in this one.
‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ directed by debutant Thiru has Vishal’s brother Vikram Krishna producing it under his banner GK Film Corporations.
We caught Sarah Jane, a Mumbai-based model and the winner of Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2007, who is one among the hottie of ‘TVP’.
You must have seen her in the recent Airtel advertisement along with Saif and Kareena. The girl is happy and confident about her career down South though she is sharing her screen space with Neetu Chandra and Tanushree Dutta.
We heard her saying that she is extremely excited to be a part of ‘TVP’ as the team is very young and everyone's mind is fresh and creative.
“Thiru is a fantastic director. He's young, like someone right out of college. It's a fun movie. A romantic, breezy film that's a sure-fire entertainment,” said the fresher.
Sarah revealed that she does a character called Priya, a fashion designing student who is coy, very simple, very loving and innocent.
“My character falls for Karthik (Vishal) who is kinda playboy. It's everything that a neat family entertainer should be,” signs off the girl.

Nil Kavani Ennai Kadhali- very hot Namitha

Namitha has exposed her flesh excessively in the Malayalam film Black Stalin. She has acted more glamorously in this film than the Tamil films.
She has acted intimately and with vulgarity in rain and swimming pool scenes with Kalabavanmani. She has overdone the love making scenes with the hero Bala in this film. Kerala Film Industry says that she has exceeded even Shakeela.
This film is being dubbed in Tamil with the title Nil Kavani Ennai Kadhali. Mean while Namitha glamour stills have been posted in the net. All the websites are eagerly publishing her sexy photos. While speaking about this Namitha said,” I have acted glamorously in this film because the story demanded it. I was also brought out my acting talents in this film.”

Namitha avoids 14 movie opportunities

Namitha's fans must feel crushed to know that 14 opportunities to ogle at their dream girl went by since she rejected them all! But she has a very sound reason to back her decisions.
“I have made up my mind to be very choosy and wary of what roles I take up. In the past, I have been very gullible and hence ended up doing only song numbers in movies where I had actually been promised meaty roles. Once I signed a project where I was supposed to play a detective, and was told to do a dance number like I was in disguise for an investigation. But after the song was shot, they told me that my character had been cut because it was digressing from the main story. Hence once again I had done just one song in a movie. Similar things have happened way too often. And now, after the success of Jagan Mohini, I am determined to do proper roles, not just glam ones. I don't mind double heroine subjects so long as my part is equally important. In the last four months I have rejected at least 14 offers, because they had no substance,” says a very emotional Namitha. Let's hope 2010 will give her the image makeover she yearns for.

Anuya going for the footsteps of Trisha and Shriya

The current trend is for our South Indian starlets to pack their bags and head to Mumbai. Anuya, who had a hit with Siva Manasula Sakthi and an average success with Madurai Sambhavam, seems to be following the footsteps of Trisha, Shriya, Padmapriya and a few others.
“Right now I have not signed on any South Indian film. I am having a blast working for a dance based reality show on Sun TV. I have been getting a few good offers in Hindi, and am waiting for the right opportunity to come. That does not mean I will not act in the South, but I will not do movies where I don't have scope to act,”insists Anuya.

Mani Ratnam's next project

Ace director Mani Ratnam is already working on his next project, say sources in Kollywood. The director, though busy with Raavan, is also making plans for his next film, which we hear is titled Azan.
This again is a Bollywood flick and Mani intends to rope in Ranbir Kapoor to play the lead role.
Azan is said to be a film that focuses on the life of Muslims. The sources also report that this film could go on floors in March 2010. However, we are yet to get confirmation on this

Reema waiting for good film

Bold and beautiful Reema Sen says that she wants to stop a long term practice.
The self-starter who is awaiting the release of her anticipated project ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ has decided to stop using ‘Sen’. Yeah… The oomph girl has changed her name from Reema Sen to Reemma!
So, from now on we all can start calling her sweetly, as ‘Reemma’ and forget her second name.
On the other hand Reemma was recently spotted in Hyderabad meeting directors, attending a promotional event and working on her big screen return in Tollywood. “I have been offered some Telugu films in the last couple of years, but I needed to do a good film. That’s why I’m waiting for the best” say the actress who is waiting for a meaty roll in Tamil too.
The actress is so confident that he will strike the gold when her ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ sees the light of the day. “My character in the film is bold, straight forward, lovable, sweet and stubborn. A perfect mixture of everything” explains the girl.
When asked if she is aiming for the No.1 position she said, “Every Friday, you have a new Box Office king or queen. Being consistently successful is the key to superstardom and audience appreciation is the ultimate verdict,”
Let’s see what’s waiting for this lady!

Prabhu Deva remake vijay's Ghilli

He remade Telugu Pokkiri in Tamil with the same title. In Hindi he made this film with the title Wanted which had Salman Khan in the lead role. This film was also a hit.

Vijay’s 50th film Sura will be big success

Sura, Vijay’s 50th film is in the making and it is said that Vijay and the team are working hard to make the film a big success.

The story revolves around a youngster who stands against the unlawful activities in the society. Vijay will fight the evils in the society single handedly without any political support and emerge successful in bringing about a big change. Maybe that is why the film is rightly titled Sura.

The film has Tamannah playing the female lead and Vadivelu taking care of the humor part. Sura is directed by S P Rajkumar.

Tamanna said to be high on demand on the eve of New Year celebrations

Tamannah, the gorgeous looking young beauty is said to be high on demand on the eve of New Year celebrations. The actress is said to be demanding a sum of Rs 90 lacs in order to participate in the New Year celebration in a star hotel. According to reliable sources, the actress has quoted this high amount which is equal to that of a Bollywood actress to a star hotel to which she recently visited.

Reliable sources close to her reveal that Tamannah is disinterested on stage dancing on the eve of the New Year 2010 and is inclined in celebrating the New Year with her friend s and family. Already, Tamannah’s brother Anand Bhatia is planning for a new year bash in their house and so there is no scope for Tamannah straying out to hotels in order to dance on stage in order to entertain the crowds. For this reason, she has quoted a high price and thinks that in any way she will be in a profitable seat.

Ajith option for his Asal release on Republic day 2010

Think Music, an association of Sathyam Cinemas and Hungama network has acquired the audio rights of ‘ASAL’. Ajith Kumar’s ‘ASAL’ is fast approaching the completion and the dubbing works have already started. With couple of songs pending to be shot in abroad and studio in Chennai, Sivaji Productions is planning to launch the audio by December.

However, nothing has been confirmed by Saran or Ajith Kumar about the film’s release for Pongal. With many releases lining up for Pongal release, Ajith may opt for the Republic Day on Jan 26 to release the film.

Karthi said Suriya didn't indicate director Ameer

Suriya in an earlier interview appreciated the efforts taken by Karthi in Paruthiveeran. He also said that he was in tears after seeing the pains and ill-treatment Karthi underwent to make the film a great success.

For this, the director of Paruthiveeran, Ameer retaliated by saying that as a director, he worked hard to bring the actor in Karthi and though the methods would have been disagreeable it has brought laurels to the star.

Karthi on explaining this said that the statement of his brother Suriya was misinterpreted. He did not mean to criticize director Ameer and only made a general statement unable to see the anguish his younger brother had gone through for the film.

Arun Vijay injured in shooting

After the hit of his ‘Malai Malai’ Arun Vijay was in full spirit to do the best. It is not only the next film for Arun Vijay, but also for the whole crew of ‘Malai Malai’. The climax fight scenes of the film were being canned in Ekkattuthangal Burma Colony Muneeswarar Temple, Chennai for last 5 days. A scene featuring 400 junior artists and 25 stunt artists was canned in a festival set that was erected around the temple.
A scene in which Arun Vijay kicking two fighters by jumping from a platform was being shot, for which both the fighters were tied on with a transparent nylon rope, to avoid accidents. Unexpectedly one of the nylon ropes got tangled with Arun Vijay’s right arm while he was performing the action. Arun Vijay’s elbow was badly injured due to the accident and the whole arm swell at once. Immediately the actor was offered first aid by the stunt master Kanal Kannan and was rushed to the hospital where he was offered emergency treatment. The doctors have advised 3 days rest to the actor and the scenes that do not involve the actor are being shot at present.
Directed by A.Venkatesh, ‘Maanja Velu’ is produced by Arun Vijay’s home banner Feather Touch Entertainment. Ilaya Thilagam Prabhu plays an important role, while Navarasa Nayagan Karthik plays Arun's brother.
Let’s wish that Arun Vijay is up and active soon…

Vijay's next project Kobam with Seeman

Hold your horses people, we can read your minds. Birdies have a fresh news about the actor’s next project.
We hear that Vijay will be acting in Seeman’s direction for Kalaipuli Thanu’s production soon after ‘Sura’. And this project is tentatively titled as ‘Kobam’. Seeman who was in Kanyakumari for ‘Magizhchi’ had been working for the script of ‘Kobam’ meant for Madhavan during his leisure time. Then as Madhavan became quite busy in Bollywood, the director had made certain changes and approached Ajith. Then by hook or by crook ‘Kobam’ had bounced towards Vijay.
Vijay was during the re-shoot of ‘Vettaikkaran’ when Seeman narrated the script over phone. Sources close to the actor said that Vijay was totally impressed with the short narration given by Seeman and accepted the offer immediately.
Looks like Vijay will have a collection of furious punch dialogue delivery to justify the title.
Well, we have to see who’s ‘Kobam’ is this…

Sheela jumps glamour roles in Tamil films

Sheela while speaking to the media said,” In Tamil films I got homely and innocent roles. Though these films did not do well at the box office I had carved a niche for myself in the hearts of my fans.

At this point the Telugu film Parugu was a great turning point in my career. After this I am pairing with junior NTR in a Telugu film directed by V V Vinayak. In another film I am acting ia film which has Nayanthara in the lead role. I am donning glamour role in this film. In a song sequence I am wearing swimming dress.
The shooting of this film is over. The film is to hit the screens soon. Many are asking me  whether I will do glamour roles in Tamil films. How can I say no when I am acting in glamour roles in Telugu films. In Malayalam film I am pairing with Prithviraj.”

Asin is the brand ambassador for Fairever

She might be away in Bollywood fulfilling her assignments but Asin will meet 50 gals as a part of promotional activities for the Chennai based fairness cream manufacturer CavinKare’s brand Fairever. Asin is the brand ambassador for Fairever, which is celebrating its 10th year.

Priyamani says good-bye Tamil movies

It seems Priyamani isn’t too happy with the way Kollywood is treating her. Even after her national award? Yup. Apparently after her first few failures in Kollywood, and after being branded “unlucky”, she got her chance at Paruthiveeran and she aced the role. But that award didn’t do what you would expect it to. Instead of getting her encouraged, it discouraged her. She said that it was Ameer who did all the work and made her act, and feared that she would be branded again as a classical actor and wouldn’t get enough roles. Her father/ manager decided to change things, and they made an album of Priyamani which showed off her curves and herself in a different view that what we’ve all seen. Not very fatherly, but a damn good managerial move. This got her quite well off into Tollywood, where she’s done a fewmovies and made a few impressions. It also looks like she’ll be getting into the Mallu Film industry because of her connections with Prithviraj. She has also said in interviews that she isn’t happy with Kollywood because it didn’t do justice to her curves. She looks like she’ll do quite well for herself in the future. Just don’t expect to see her in too many Tamil movies.

Asin will definitely act in a Tamil film

When asked Asin that whether she will be acting in Tamil films because her Hindi films did not do well at the box office, she said,” Because of Tamil cinema only I became a Bollywood actress.

It is not correct to say that I will act in Tamil films because my Hindi films did not do well. I will act in Tamil films if I get a good director, big hero and good story. My end of next year I will definitely act in a Tamil film.
I am little upset because the Hindi film London Dreams in which I had paired with Salman Khan did not do well at the box office. But because of this I cannot be quite without acting.

Bharath with his Kanden Kadhalai movie's success

Last week Bharath threw a success party after his Kanden Kadhalai, turned out to be a hit.
The party was held for close friends and the team that made the film successful, at a posh bungalow by the seaside on ECR. Says Bharath: “I owe the success of KK to Sun Pictures and its marketing team who did a great job”.
After that he took a break and went on a visit of Northern India, which he wanted to visit from his childhood. He went to Srinagar in Kashmir, then went to see snow in Leh in Ladakh, and finally winded up his 10 day break with a visit to Rajasthan and Agra.
Says Bharath: “The highlight of my holiday was spotting a tiger in the wild at the Ranthambore National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary in Rajasthan. It was a rare occasion as the tiger is a majestic animal, which can be rarely spotted in the wild.”

Now Bharath, after hectic whirlwind “Bharathdarsan” is back home in Madurai shooting for Perarasu’s Thiruthani.

Yuvan Shankar Raja is ready to Sharjah Cricket Stadium

Yuvan Shankar Raja is ready to trot the globe. He is all set to begin his world tour at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on December 1st. Following this, the musician will hold a concert in Canada. Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Karthik, Harish Raghavendra, Silambarasan and others will add attraction to the event. The LED presentation onstage will be spectacular, we hear.

While the show in Sharjah has been confirmed, talks are on to conduct similar shows in Muscat and Kuwait. The tickets for this concert have already been sold out and about 30,000 people are expected to be present at the stadium to cheer Yuvan.

Trisha and Ramya Krishnan were competing each other

Kollywood knows about Sydney Sladen who is the costume deisgner from Rajini to Trisha.  He is the man who design and stich dress materials for the actors and he used to be always in demand.
If you look at him, he looks as if a cowboy, but the stuff he has within him is known only in actresses circle.
His B'day was celebrated at Taj few days before.
Most of Kollywood was present at Taj and liquor was served as food.
Most of the babes were found competing each other to either sit on the lap of Sydney or to make him sit on theirs.
The fun was that Trisha and Ramya Krishnan were competing each other to hold Sydney which saw Trisha's mother taking away Sydney with her on her lap.

Vijay film is special

Vijay’s 50th film Sura is progressing well and the latest news we hear from the Sura camp is that the film would be released on June 22nd, 2010 to coincide with the star’s birthday. Being a landmark film in his career, Vijay is leaving no stone unturned to make the film a great success.

Sura is highly expected by Vijay’s fans as it is said that the film will have some death defying stunts choreographed by Kanal Kannan.

The film is directed by SP Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murugan. Vijay’s on screen pair is Tamannah. Others in the star cast include Sriman and Vadivelu.

Appavi releases on December month

The posters of ‘Appavi’ produced by V L Dhandapani under the banner of Devi Visions are the latest talk of the town. The poster has its own way of attracting eyeballs with difference. Take a look at it and you will find the tagline “Silent but Violent”, that itself conveys the mood of the film.
Well, ‘Appavi’ is about how few anti-social elements try to create problem in society and how few good souls try to prevent it.
‘Appavi’ is scheduled to be released in the month of December.
R. Raghuraj is also penning the story, screenplay and dialogues apart from directing the film. Music composed by Joshua Sridhar for the lyrics of Vairamuthu and Na. Muthukumar is already out and getting lukewarm response in the market. Cinematography is done by E. Krishnaswamy while V.T. Vijayan takes care of editing.
‘Appavi’ stars newbies Gautham and Suhani in the main roles and veterans K Bhagiyaraj, Manobala along with Suri, Sri Ranjani and Mahadevan play important roles.
Appavi’s shooting was wrapped-up recently in Coorg Hills, after the songs ‘Rayilin Pathaiyil’ and ‘Pookinra Poo Naan’ were shot.

Trisha's vercome the trauma of 26/11/09

A year has passed. But the country is yet to overcome the trauma of 26/11 when 10 merciless 'jehadis' from across the border let loose terror attacks in Mumbai.
The attack on star hotels in the financial capital of the nation left a nightmarish experience for everyone, especially for stars from south India who are making a beeline to Bollywood.
Says Trisha, the latest entrant to Hindi cinema, "Until 26/11, we have seen explosions, gun-battles in remote parts of the country or on the borders, and we sympathies with the men who sacrifice their lives to guard us. But to see explosions and massacres in places like Mumbai CST Railway Station and Taj Hotel were shocking."
"Let's hope that laws are made tighter and strict vigil is exercised better. Every Indian is exposed to attacks. Let's pray to Almighty that such events don't recur."

Goa realeses on Pongal 2010

Despite media rumours that Goa may not release in January, it has been confirmed that the film will indeed release in 2010 and that too for Pongal (January 14).
Recently, a stunt sequence featuring Sneha and Vaibhav was shot at Binny Mills. Also present at the shooting spot were Jai, Premji and Aravind Akash. Goa, directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth, also stars Simbu and Nayantara in interesting cameos. The film also has a foreign actor Melanie who plays Premji's love interest in the film. Piaa (of Aegan and Poi Solla Porom fame) is Jai's heroine.
The music of the film is composed by Yuvanshankar Raja and the songs will be released on December 23 under the Sony Music label.

Vijay speaks about stunt choreography

Shoot of Vijay’s ‘Sura’ is up and running in Hyderabad from November 15th onwards. Director S P Rajakumar is busily wielding megaphone for the stunt sequences between Vijay and his villain Dev Gill. Scenes in which Vijay meets the villain face-to-face in his den were also shot.
It’s was FEFSI Vijayan who did stunt choreography to most of Vijay’s movies all these days. But, from ‘Vettaikkaran’ Kanal Kannan has taken the task. It’s said that Vijay was very much impressed with stunt master Kanal Kannan’s technical knowledge. Sources close to the actor confirm that Vijay will henceforth work with the new master as a minimum for 10 films.
Sura’s shoot is expected to be wrapped-up by November 28th and resume in Kerala by December 5th.
As per speculations ‘Sura’ produced by Sangili Murugan will be releasing around June 22, 2010 for Ilaya Thalapathy’s birthday!

Genelia happy to act in South Indian films

Genelia says that she is happy to act in South Indian films. She said,” The Telugu film Ready in which I have done the female lead role is being remade in Tamil.
I am doing the same role in Tamil which I did in the Telugu film. Dhanush is doing the lead role. Many are asking me whether it is boring to do the same role again and again. What is boring in this? In fact it is very easy. Santhosh Subramaniam is originally a Telugu film.
Then it was remade in Tamil and now it is being remade in Hindi. I have acted in the same role which I did in Telugu. Now in the Hindi version also I am donning the same role which I did in Tamil and Telugu version. I am acting in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films. I am happy to act in South Indian languages.”

Nakul don't fall in love with Poorna

Nakul has paired with Poorna in the film Kandakottai. This film has been produced by T T Raja and directed by Sakthivel. It seems that Nakul and Poorna had become intimate during the shooting of this film.
So there were rumors that this closeness has blossomed into romance. When asked Nakul about this, he said,” When I was acting in Kadhalil Vizhundhen and Maasilamani there were news that I was in love with Sunaina. Now there are rumors that I am in love with Poorna with whom I am pairing in Kandakottai.
There is no truth in the news that I am in love with Poorna. Poorna is a good actress and dancer. In the film we both will be clashing with each other. There is no romance between us. In Kandakottai, I am donning the role of an educated youth in search of a job. I am of the character who doesn’t believe in love.
The story is what happens if I start loving. I have sung one song under Dhina’s composition. Kalapathy S Agoram was very much impressed after seeing the film. He immediately acquired the rights.”

What happens when these top stars kids meet each other? They display a special bond amongst each other which rubbishes every statement about rivalry and all that. We are talking about the top star kids Shruti Haasan, Soundarya Ranjinikanth and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.

These star kids were spotted together for the Media and Entertainment Business Conclave Press Conference recently. The trio was also part of a panel discussion about the role of Next Gen in Media held on the second day of MEBC 2009. They met officially, were cordial towards each other and even posed for stills together.

Each of these young women has managed to make a place for herself in the field of media and entertainment. Just like her father, Shruti too loves to work with every aspect of cinema. She debuted as an actor and later as a music composer. Soundarya, managing director of Ocher Studios and the lovely and dynamic daughter of Rajinikanth is quite busy with her upcoming animation project Sultan the Warrior directed by her and Goa, her production venture. Varalaxmi is eager to debut in films, but in the meantime, she staged a musical Mamma Mia! which was well-received. A trained classical and salsa dancer, Varalaxmi is a star waiting to shine on the silver screen.
