Soundarya plans to release Sultan–The Warrior after Endhiran

Rajinikanth’s fans started to wonder what happened to Sultan – The Warrior, the animation film that is being directed and produced by his daughter Soundarya. Enquiries in Kollywood revealed that Soundarya plans to release Sultan only after Endhiran hits the screens.

According to trade pundits, this could have a positive impact on Sultan because Endhiran is being produced by Sun Pictures and will get maximum publicity. This in turn would have the cash registers ringing for Sultan.

Considering the business motives of Soundarya and timing her release accordingly, there is a strong speculation that her animation film could turn out to be a hit.

Dhanush’s Maapillai progresses

All big-budget movies of Kollywood are released by the market leaders Sun Pictures.
Their Maappillai with Dhanush, Manisha Koirala and Hansika Motwani is progressing briskly.

Sun Pictures is one of the most professional film producers in India. They follow the Hollywood pattern where the first copy of the film is seen by a competent team of studio executives, who make suggestions on how the final product could be improved according to certain specifications.
Similarly, they have a team dedicated to watch a film which they have picked up. After the film gets the final approval from this team, the marketing starts two weeks before release.

Sura tickets were sold very quickly

With a concentric phase of promotions bounded to Vijay’s ‘Sura’, it has kick-started the irresistible mania in town. Followed by the grand success of ‘Vettaikaaran’, Sun Pictures is literally ambitious with its Midas touch over ‘Sura’ as well. The film is slated to hit screens this weekend and the booking plans have been already opened throughout all the centres. It’s worth mentioning that the tickets were sold within fraction of moments even at the unimaginable costs. Especially, the single screen centres at outskirts of Chennai have almost tagged a price with accordance to that of Mayajaal pricing.Well, when it’s Vijay, his fans never mind burning candles at both ends just as his producers.

Rajinikanth in Thiruvananthapuram

On Monday (Jan 11) morning superstar Rajinikanth flew to Thiruvananthapuram for one day work for his Shankar directed Sun Pictures Endhiran (Robot).
Rajini who arrived in a Paramount Airways flight around 11am in the morning went straight to KINFRA Park (the equivalent of Tidel Park in Chennai) in Kazhakootam.
The superstar had to do “Motion Capturing” for Endhiran’s animation part towards the climax. It means using six to seven cameras to get his facial structure, body movement correct and mix it with the animation. In other words finally when we see it on screen the ‘Robot’ he plays will look real and lifelike.
Inside the KINFRA office he signed autographs and also posed for pictures with the techies who were awed by him. When the word spread that Rajinikanth is in town nearly 5000 people turned up outside the huge gates of KINFRA, just to get a glimpse of the superstar!
He went out and waved to the crowd and made their day. The superstar after finishing his work flew back to Chennai the same night.
