Nakul demanded a Crore salary

Arivazhagan who had carved a niche for himself throughout Tamil Nadu by directing the hit film Eeram was an assistant to director Shankar. He was ready with his next story and was in search of the hero.

But no hero gave their ear to the story. Finally Nakul was willing to listen. The team got the producer who liked the story. Sai who has designed costumes for many films is the producer of the film.

But Nakul gave a shock to the producer by demanding One Crore rupees as his salary. Sai who is a well experienced person cinema refused Nakul’s demand. This upset Arivazhagan and tried to convince Nakul but Nakul was firm.

Days passed by but nobody approached Nakul for his call sheet since every day there were new faces coming up. Nakul at this point of time seems to have said that her will reduce his salary and was ready to act if he was paid Rs 75 Lakhs. But the producer did not agree for this also. Now Nakul is ready to act for Rs 35 Lakhs.

Nakul speak with media

Nakulan while speaking to the media said,” Many of the people seeing my physique in Boys told that I can never become a hero. Because of this I took a lot of efforts and lost my weight.

Kandha Kottai in which I have done the lead role is to be released soon. I want to act in films which have action, romance, sentiments and comedy. Next I will be acting in the films produced by Sun Pictures and  A G L Enterprise.

For time being I will be concentrating in Tamil films alone. I thought acting was very simple before standing in front of the camera. But now I realized that acting is a tough task. Apart from acting I also want to learn all the technical aspects connected with cinema. I am not interested in marrying now.”

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's Vettaikaran; Nagul's Kantha Kottai

Kalpathi S Agoram of AGS Entertainment and his Kantha Kottai releasing on December 19 has decided to take on Sun Pictures, Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Vettaikaran’s hitting the theatres on December 18!

It has sent shock waves as AGS Entertainment was considered close to Sun Pictures especially after they made Masilamani, a success. The trade says almost across Tamil Nadu nearly 350 screens will have Vettaikaran, which is being marketed aggressively.
But AGS is almost certain to go ahead and release Kantha Kottai which has Nakul and Poorna in the lead. They feel there is always a market for a second film which actually can piggy ride on the bigger film especially in theatre complexes in the state.

Sunaina is the best in Kollywood

Sunaina may be just 2 films old now, but is in the gang of industry’s hot picks. After playing Nakul’s love interest in the successful 'Kadhalil Vizhunthen' and ‘Masilamani’ the cute girl’s career graph is going on a fine lane.

After the girl got out of the controversy for her acting in ‘Madhan’ opposite Jai Akash, Sunaina got lucky enough by bagging ‘Yadhumagi’, ‘Thiruthani’ and ‘Kadhirvel’.

Actually it was Trisha who was invited to act in ‘Thiruthani’ opposite Bharath. Later it was passed on to Sunaina as Trisha was busy with her other projects. Birdies chirp that Sunaina was paid 16 lakhs for this project. More over the actress was offered a special caravan, spot pick-up, 3 star hotel stay, a special make-up man, personal hairdresser, personal assistant and many other extra comforts from the ‘Thiruthani’ team.

This shows that young heroines like Sunaina can fill-up the emptiness created by the actress like Trisha, Shriya, Genelia and Asin who have packed their baggage to North. We hear that Sunaina chooses her projects with the help of her mom and sees if the script gives importance to her character. The girl has also expressed her wish to pair-up with our Ilaya Thalapathy.

Nakul turns crooner

What will happen to the hundreds of new singers in Tamil films, if Kollywood heroes turn crooners?

The latest to join the bandwagon of actors turning singer is Nakul!

Every time it is the director of a film who discovers that their hero has a “golden voice”.

Remember Susi Ganeshan when he was making Kanthaswamy, made Vikram sing all the songs, because he found the actors voice suitable for the character he does in the film!

Similarly director Sakthivel who is doing Kandakottai noticed his hero Nakul humming away at Viveka’s (of Kanthaswamy fame) lyrics at the recording studio.

So the director decided that Nakul would sing the song Eppadiye ennul kathal vandadu…. , which will be picturised on the ‘singer’ and his heroine Sunaina (lady love?) in New Zealand
