Hansika Motwani is the fastest rising star in Tollywood
Teenage beauty Hansika Motwani made a great start in her Telugu career with Desamuduru opposite Allu Arjun. With Kantri and Billa, Hansika became the fastest rising star in Tollywood. Now she is all set to conquer hearts in Kollywood with her debut film Maapillai opposite Dhanush. Maapillai is a remake of the yesteryear super hit with the same title starring Dhanush's father-in-law Superstar Rajinikanth. Bollywood heart-throb Manisha Koirala will play Dhanush's mother-in-law in Maapillai, the story of the cold war between a lady and her son-in-law.
“I’ll try my best to balance my career between Bollywood, Tollywood and Kollywood as I would like to get the best of the worlds. At the moment, I’m doing Main Aur Meri Himmat with Shoaib Akthar (former Pakistani fast bowler) and also an untitled film with Imran Khan directed by Sanjay Chhel,” the pretty actress said to a leading English daily.
About working with Manisha Koirala, she said, “It was great fun to work with Manishaji. She is such a beautiful woman and a great performer.”
Interestingly, the child artist-turned-heroine does not use heavy make-up for her films. “I have not used any make-up for the talkie portion of Maapillai. But, since the director (Suraj) wanted me to do some light make-up for the song sequences, I agreed. The idea is to be as natural as possible,” she added.
The teenage beauty has recently adopted 19 children in Mumbai. “God has given me a lot and it’s only right for me to share it with those less fortunate. God willing, in a few years’ time, I will be able to help a lot more kids in need,” she added.
And the big news is that Prabhu Deva has chosen her to play the role of a young Tamil girl settled in Paris for his forthcoming Itch. She’s also in talks with a big production house for their next film with a Superstar.

Nayanthara takes a U turn in her career
Reigning South Indian actress Nayanthara takes a U turn in her career! This glam girl, who scorched the screen with her bikini appearance in Billa, will be part of an art Malayalam flick to be directed by National award-winning director Shyamaprasad, it is said.
Sources close to her say that she was impressed by a script narrated by the director recently. Titled Electra, an adaptation of a Greek play, Nayantara will essay the title role of Electra Alexander.
Talks are on with Tamil actor Arya to don the hero's role in this film; if that happens, Electra will mark his debut as a hero in Malayalam. Electra is produced by Vindhayan under the banner of Rasika Entertainments. More details are awaited.

Ultimate Star Ajith's Billa producer B Suresh wins
The Indian Film Federation has been recently divided into four zones – North, South, East and West. It has also decided to conduct the elections zone-wise to select the President once in every five years. And this time, it is the South Zone’s turn to conduct the elections. The election was conducted as per the rules in which Karnataka’s KC Chandresan and Tamil Nadu’s Ananda Pictures’ Suresh contested.
The results were declared soon after the elections and B Suresh emerged victorious.
It is worth a mention here that Suresh is the producer of Ajith starrer Billa.

Ajith’s next film
Sources insist that it's neither Venkat Prabhu nor Gautham Menon. It's Billa fame Vishnuvardhan who will direct Ajith's next movie.
The actor was reportedly not convinced with the storylines narrated and when Vishnuvardhan came with his script, the actor found it to his taste.
Right now, it looks like Vishnuvardhan is the man who will wield the megaphone for Ajith’s next film. More updates and official confirmation are expected soon.
