Bala Avan Ivan actress is Nivedita

Bala is up and running with his not-so-serious comic caper Avan Ivan starring Arya and Vishal in the lead. While he seems to have finalized the rest of the cast, the coveted heroine position was up for grabs until now.

According to sources, Bala has zeroed down on Nivedita, an actress whose previous credits include Kadhai and Porkkalam. Although both the movies bombed at the BO, let’s hope Bala’s faith in Nivedita does not fall short.

It is worth a mention here that Bala had already signed up Janani Iyer as one of the two heroines.

The first shot was taken on Vishal, as Arya will be joining the shoot a few days later as he is busy with Boss Engira Baskaran shoot with Nayanthara in Chennai.

Debut heroin Janani Iy in Bala Avan Evan

National award winning director Bala is starting the shoot of his next film called Avan Evan with Vishal and Arya. The film has a new heroine a Tamil girl Janani Iyer.
Janani said: “I am a Chennai girl born and brought up here and studied at D AV School at Gopalapuram. Then I did my computer science course from Savitha Engineering College. Avan Evan is my first film. But I have done modelling for over 150 ads including national and regional ones.
Jananini always wanted to be an actor as it is her passion in life. So how did she land this film with Bala? “Director Vijay (Poi Solla Porum) is like my guru and he told me that Bala sir was looking for a new face for his film. So I tried my luck by going for his audition. Bala sir after the audition told me that I fit into the role.”
Janani is not allowed as per her contract to speak to the media about her role or the film. Anyway, she has so far made the right moves, and has the potential to be the first Tamil girl after Trisha to make it big in Kollywood.

Is Pooja joins Bala's Avan Ivan?

After taking a much needed break from the terrifyingly intense schedules of Naan Kadavul, Bala is back with his next film Avan – Ivan that stars Arya and Vishal as brothers. Avan will be Bala’s first attempt at a full length romantic comedy. Although he’s finalized Janani Iyer for a female lead role, the movie still needs another heroine.

Bala agrees that Varalakshmi Sarathkumar’s name was under consideration, and that she later dropped out. Now he’s being faced with the question: Isn’t Pooja the obvious choice? But no, says Bala. “I have made her life hell in Naan Kadavul and want her to relax now,” Bala replies in a matter-of-fact way.

The director is all set to address a press conference on the film at the Residency Towers in T Nagar. The event is scheduled to take place at 3 pm.

Pooja joins Bala once again

After ‘Naan Kadavul’ the cute actress Pooja is right now enjoying her time judging reality shows. Now the grapevine is abuzz that director Bala has offered a lead role for his next film with Arya and Vishal.
The director, who is hunting for a fresh face for another female lead, is keen to sign-up Pooja, they say. Earlier rumours were making rounds about Sarath Kumar’s daughter Varalaxmi being offered a lead role in this film. But as Sarath Kumar is not that interested to let his daughter enter cinema as of now, the plans have been changed, say the birdies.
It’s worthy to mention that Pooja was earlier prepared to do a cameo role in a film that was to be produced by Moser Baer and that has Arya in the lead. Sadly, news made it clear that the film is shelved for some reason.
Let’s see if things will work out for her this time…

Varalakshmi is Bala’s choice

Varalakshmi Sarathkumar could debut with director Bala’s untitled film, if things work out fine. There are reports from Kollywood that Bala was looking for a newbie to play the female lead in the Vishal-Arya starrer. And when he came across Varalakshmi Sarath Kumar, he decided to cast her in the film as she was more apt for the role.

Varalakshmi is a trained musician too and was supposed to have debuted with Silambarasan’s Poda Podi. However, the project was shelved for reasons unknown and Varalakshmi decided to wait for a better offer.

5 unknown things of Bala

http://tamilomovie.com/images/photos/bala.jpg

Manirathnam is an ardent fan of Bala whereas Bala is an ardent devotee of Manirathnam. This rare friendship is not much known to the outer world. Manirathnam somehow wants to push Bala to the international lime light.

Bala started smoking when he was studying second standard. He used to smoke beedis then. Now the smoking still continues. He isn’t bothered about lighting a cigarette in front of any one. But he will not touch a cigarette in the presence of his wife.

Bala has got four international awards, two national awards, five state awards and eleven Filmfare awards. All these awards were given to Bala for the four films he has directed.

Bala is an atheist but whenever his wife calls him to a temple he accompanies her.

Bala has two idlys for breakfast, one cup of rice for lunch and two dosas for dinner.
