Hansika Motwani donning glamorous role in Mappillai

Hansika Motwan is acting in the film Mappillai produced by Sun Pictures. While she was shooting for this film in Chennai, she said,” After Hindi films, Tamil films are received well throughout the world.

I was waiting to act in Tamil films for long time. I was supposed to pair with Surya in a film to be directed by Vishnuvardhan. But for unknown reasons  this film did not take off. I had acted in eight films so far in Kannada and Telugu languages.

I have acted in ten Hindi films. Because I am busy in South Indian films I have refused some Hindi offers. I am so happy that I am debuting in the Tamil film Mappillai which is the remake of the Tamil hit Rajnikanth starrer film. When I heard that this film is the remake of the film which Rajni acted, I immediately agreed to act. Rajni is my favourite actor.

I am donning the role which Amala did in the original version. Director Suraj has made a lot of changes in my character as well as in the story. Many are asking me about the glamour roles I do in Telugu films. All the actresses want to look glamorous. Audiences are also looking forward to this.
