Anushka to do tamil film with good story and big hero
Anushka made her debut in the Tamil film Irandu. She paired with Madhavan in this film. But this film did not do well at the box office and she did not get many offers. She started concentrating in Telugu films and she reached the top there. Her film Arundhathi in Telugu was a block buster. This film was dubbed in Tamil. The dubbed version also broke the records in Tamil Nadu. After this hit, producers from Kollywood started going after her. Finally she paired with Vijay in Vettaikaran. After Vettaikaran she paired with Surya in the film Singam which turned to super duper hit. Following this success Anushka is in high spirits. Now offers are knocking her doors. But her priority is Telugu films but she will act in Tamil films which has good story and big hero.
Namitha want to change my image
If Namitha is just an oomph girl in your opinion; it’s time for you to reconsider. For the actress says her concentration is now on doing varied roles and her forthcoming films would prove it true.
“I want to change my image. I want to act in roles which are more meaningful. And I am sure I will able to get rid of the image of being branded as a sexy actress with films like ‘Ilaignan’ in which I am doing a different character,” she says.
Explaining the reason, the actress, who is popular for wearing skimpy outfits says, “When my co-stars bag challenging roles, it disturbs me to some extent. But most directors insist I wear a bikini and shorts.”
Saying she would like to wear traditional outfits, especially sarees, Namitha adds: “I would like to act in roles like Sridevi in the film ‘Sadma’. Trust me I can act well and I am not for glamour alone.”
Are the directors listening?

Singam gets massive collection
The Suriya-Anushka starrer Singam released during the last weekend of May and it’s into its third weekend now. The film, we came to know, has shown a steady progress with no signs of moving out of the theatres. Singam was screened in over 20 screens in Chennai alone and interestingly all the theatres in which it has been screened still exhibit the film.
And Singam is not just roaring in Chennai alone! All the A, B and C centers across Tamil Nadu have reported a massive collection. Singam is directed by Hari and the music is scored by Devi Sri Prasad.

Introduced in Unnale Unnale by Late Jeeva, chocolate hero Vinay is one excited person these days. The actor is currently busy with his maiden Hollywood flick Dam 999 and Selva’s Nootrukku Nooru.
“The shoot for Dam 999, a Hollywood bonanza, is over and the film is in its post-production stage. It is likely to hit screens by the year-end,” he said.
On Selva’s Nootrukku Nooru, he said, “We have already completed major portions of the film and only a small portion has to be finished.”

Patta Patti 50-50 releases soon
Patta Patti 50-50, which has former Indian cricketer Sadagopan Ramesh in the lead role, is all set to grace theatres soon. The film is directed by Yuvraj, associate of Jayam Raja and produced by AVR Talkies in collaboration with Flicker Studios. Newcomer Harini plays the female lead. Arul Dev has composed music for the film.
“You saw how passionate a city can be about cricket in Chennai 600028. In Pattapatti 50:50, you will get to see a village which is equally crazy about cricket, but doesn’t know even the basics of the sport,” debutant director Yuvraj said to a leading English daily.
“We have a cricket match as part of the climax. We spent more than a month roaming around Tamil Nadu to find a piece of barren land for the match. All the actors in the film are a surprise package. The movie will have an equal measure of cricket and comedy,” he added.
