Karthi Paiyya 350 prints for Tamil; 150 prints for Telugu

Aayirathil Oruvan which had Karthi in the lead role was dubbed in Telugu with the title Yuganiki Okkadu. This dubbed version made it very big in Andhra Pradesh.

This film was well received  by the Telugu audience. Because of this Karthi’s market has escalated high in the Telugu film industry.  The film Paiyya which has Karthi and Thamanna in the lead role is being simultaneously released in Tamil and Telugu on the same day.

The Telugu version has been titled Awara. Lingusamy has directed this film and has been produced by Subash Chandra Bose. 350 prints have been made for the Tamil version while 150 prints have been made for the Telugu version. Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed the music for this film

Tollywood is trying to buy the Telugu dubbing rights of Paiyya

Karthi has become a star in Andhra, after the super opening of his Aayirathil Oruvan’s Telugu version Yuganiki Okkadu .

Karthi joins the illustrious company of superstars like Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vikram and Suriya who have market for their dubbed Telugu films in Andhra.
Now distributors in Andhra are trying to buy the Telugu dubbing rights of his yet to be released Lingusamy directed Paiyya. However Lingusamy is not very keen to dub it in Telugu, as he feels he will get a better price for the remake rights of the film in Telugu. Meanwhile seeing the success ofYuganiki Okkadu , Karthi’s cousin Gjnavel Raja and his Studio Green, is now dubbing his first film, Paruthiveeran, into Telugu as Palnati Veerudu
