Vishnu: I was a translator for Pia

Vishnu made his debut in the lead role in the film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and is now currently acting in Droghi and Kullanari Kootam. His film Bale Pandiya has been released recently.
There is news that Pia and you have become very intimate during the shooting of Bale Pandiya?
I never expected this question. Pia does not know Tamil but I know Hindi. Because of this while speaking to others she will use me as a translator. Then she made me her assistant to teach her dialogue delivery and acting. Seeing this somebody must have spread the rumors. Pia is a very intelligent girl. When she starts the dialogues, we do not know where she began and when is she going to stop. She will also not signal. Because of this I had to go for many takes. I used to be scolded by the director who will say,” The girl who does not know Tamil speak it fluently and you who know Tamil stumble.” Pia is the reason for all this. Let her live happily wherever she is.
For the first time you are doing action hero role in Droghi?
Yes. I got this unexpected opportunity. The director of the film, Sudha is a terror. She is the student of Manirathnam. She use to say,” There should always be fire in us. Your looks should be like that you are going to hit or kick someone.” Normally I am very calm person. But she changed me just the opposite. Droghi will be an important film in my career.
We think the shooting spot must have been colorful because of the heroines Pooja, Poorna and Poonam Bajwa?
In the film Poorna is donning the role of my sister. We both are like cats and mouse. In a scene I had to slap Poorna. I slapped her mildly. But Sudha said that was not enough and I shout hit her strongly. I slapped her hardily. The take was Okayed but Poorna ran into her caravan and started weeping. Her hard work will make this film a success. Poonam Bajwa dons the role of my lover. There is lots of romance between us two. Here also Hindi helped me.

Pia expresses her experience with Ajith in Aegan shoot

Pia who had acted in Poi Solla Porom, Aegan and Goa was in cloud nine because of the success of the film Goa. While speaking to the media she recently said that Ajith was her favourite actor. She said,” It was a very nice experience working with Ajith in Aegan.



The first day shooting of Aegan took place in Yercaud. I have heard about Ajith sir but I have not met him personally. When I alighted at Yercaud for shooting, everyone was speaking about Ajith. I will not always go and introduce myself to big actors for the fear that they will not respond properly.





So I was standing in a corner. Ajith who noticed this came to me and introduced himself to me. I really felt so bad. So I told him the reason for not introducing myself to him and also apologized. He took this very sportive and said its okay. But in Mumbai it is different.


From that day Ajith sir is my favourite actor. Currently I am acting in Bale Pandiya. I am donning a role of a modern girl in this film settled from abroad. Vishnu who had acted in Venilla Kabadi Kuzhu is pairing with me in this film. Mithra Media Siddarth is directing this film. This is his first film.”

Ajith has got a new fan who is Pia

Even as his ’Asal’ opened big all over Tamil Nadu, Ajith has got a new fan. She is Piya, who shared the screen space with the actor in his last venture ‘Aegan’.

“Ajith is kind and affectionate. I admire him a lot ever since we worked together for ‘Aegan’. He is simple and humble. I like his character and the warmth in it. Never had he considered him as a big star,” she says.

Claiming that she is learning Tamil to make it big in Kollywood, Piya says she had to undergo a lot of difficulties while acting in ‘Poi Solla Porom’, her debut film, since she did not know the language.

“I took enormous pains to memorise dialogues. Thank God things went on well. I was relieved only after the film was released and declared a hit,” the actress says. On ‘Goa’, she says, “It is a breezy and romantic role. My thanks to director Venkat Prabhu.”

Ask her about her forthcoming film ‘Bale Pandiya’, she says, “I play a foreign return, who falls for Vishnu. Comedy is the highlight of the film which would hit screens soon.”
