Meera Jasmine Concentrates in Malayalam film

After a gap of more than one year, National award winning actress Meera Jasmine, popularly known as a homely heroine, is finally back to Malayalam. During her this period, she has done four Telugu films (Gorintaku, Maa Ayana Chanti Pilladu, Bangaru Babu and A Aa E Ee), Mariyadhai (Tamil) and Devaru Kotta Thangi (Kannada).
While talking about her return to Malayalam with the ongoing Paattinte Palazhi being directed by Rajeev Anchal, the actress said that acting in Malayalam films is like preparing for the final Board exams. Why? She feels that as compared to other industries, Malayalam films require a great deal of preparation.
"You definitely need elaborate preparation before attempting a character in Malayalam. I am not much bothered about preparations while doing other language films, but coming to Malayalam, I cannot take things for granted," said Meera in an interview.
Meera Jasmine, who was last seen in Rathri Mazha (2008) and Minnaminnikkoottam (2008), has pinned her hopes on Paattinte Palazhi in which she plays an aspiring singer. The actress will be seen in three different get ups, as her character Veena passes through three different stages of life. Paattinte Palazhi will be her summer release.

Vijay will act in Malayalam film if he get a good story

Vettaikaran has been released in New Theatres in Trivandrum. Vijay who had come to this theatre yesterday was chatting with his fans.

After this he had visited the poor student’s hostel and provided them free lunch and financial aid for some students. While speaking to media, he said,” I had come to Trivandrum for the 75^th day celebrations of Pokkiri. After this I have come now.

Of all the films I have acted, I like Pokkiri and Vettaikaran. I cannot differentiate Tamil and Malayalam fans. Both are like husband and wife. They are so fond of me. I will act in Malayalam film if I get a good story. Director is the main reason for a film to be a hit.

Only if the director creates a good story, the film will be a success. Currently I am acting in a film titled Sura. This film will be released during the month of May. I also wanted to act in a different type of role from the usual stereo typed roles.

But I should get the director and producer for this to happen. I don’t have any dream for a particular role. I cannot wait for six months to act in a good story. My wish is to act continuously. I will also be acting in a Malayalam remake film Body Guard.”
