Here comes the 'Cupid's arrow'; yes, we are talking about Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu! The film brings back the famous duo of director K.S. Ravikumar-Kamal Haasan after Avvai Shanmugi (1996), Thenali (2000), Panchathantiram (2002) and Dasavathaaram (2008). And for the first time beautiful Trisha is teaming with the legendary Kamal Haasan. The film has a huge star cast, which includes Kamal, Trisha, Madhavan, Sangeetha, Ramesh Arvind, Usha Uthup, Manju Pillai and Suriya in a cameo appearance. The entire film was extensively shot across Europe and on a cruise ship.

Manmadhan Ambu narrates the story of three persons: Major Mannar (Kamal Haasan), industrialist Madhana Gopal (Madhavan) and Ambujakshi (Trisha). Sangeetha plays the role of Ambujakshi's close friend.

The film is currently undergoing post-production work and, following a grand audio launch event in Singapore, would be released worldwide on 17 December 2010.
