Sameera Reddy has injured in action scene

Actress Sameera Reddy is busy shooting for Bullet Train with director Priyadarshan. The movie is an action thriller and involves lots of action scenes. Sameera Reddy's character was to ride a motorcycle through a rough terrain; she insisted she do the stunt herself without using a body double. Half way through the stunt, Sameera slipped and fell off the motorycycle, injuring her neck. Though Sameera was hospitalised, she was adamant she would complete what she started and came back to finish the stunt herself. Director Priyadarshan was truly impressed with her never-say-die spirit.

Kalavani actress Oviya enters Sandalwood

Although much in demand in Kollywood ‘Kalavani’ Oviya is very choosy in selecting her films. After her first film the Kerala beauty has signed only two films in Tamils. One is 'Sevanu' directed by cameraman Jeevan who directed Pa. Vijay's 'Gnabagangal'. The other is 'Agam Nee.. Mugam Naan' directed by debutante Saravanan.

While the demand is still there in Kollywood, Oviya was simultaneously scanning other woods also. That effort of hers has brought result. Oviya has been signed for a Kannada film to be directed by veteran director S.Narayan.

It’s no doubt an intelligent move by Oviya to work in other languages even as she is a beginner in Tamil. She might have thought it’s better to do film in other languages when the career is on a high rather than looking for opportunities when it is fading in one language.

Poongodi: I have not got married secretly

Poongodi has donned the female lead role in the films Maayandi Kudumbhathar, Goripalayam and Milaga. Poongodi is a Malayalam actress and is studying in a college in Trivandrum. In between there is news that Poongodi got married clandestinely.

When asked Poongodi about this, she said,” I had applied leave in the college because I had to act for a long time. Since the college authorities complained, I am going to college without taking leave.

There is a news that I got married secretly to an assistant cameraman who was working in Milaga. There is no truth in this news.

My parents have lots affection and faith in me. I will not cheat them at any time. My marriage will take place in their presence and with their approval.”

Aamir Khan's new record

Actor-turned-producer Aamir Khan produced Peepli (Live), which is based on the farmers’ suicide that rocked India, has created a new record. The film, which was released in India on August 13th, has raked in 21 crores during the opening week. In the international scenario it garnered 2.88 crores. It has to be mentioned here that 109 overseas prints were distributed.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO UTV Motion Pictures reportedly told a daily that they decided to focus on Aamir Khan to bring in the audiences as his star value in a film is much higher in the US.

Sada says that she loves Dogs a lot

Sada took up the cause for abandoned animals when she teamed up with Amrutanjan Health Care Ltd. and People for Animals for 'DON’T ABANDON YOUR PET DOG' campaign.

Talking about her role in the campaign, Sada said she decided to join PFA after she saw the plight of stray dogs. She also said that though she loves dogs, her busy scedule does not allow her to keep pets. With this campaign she hopes to fill that void.

Trisha has shocked about the rumours

Victor, a Nigerian was arrested by Andhra Pradesh police for possession of drugs. Popular Telugu actor Ravi Teja’s brother Raghu Babu and Bharath Raj was also arrested for procuring drugs from Victor.

When the police confisticated his cell phone and examined it, they found that numerous actors and actresses numbers were stored in it. There was news by some of the local channels that Trisha’s number was also in that cell phone.

Trisha was shocked about this news. She while speaking to the media said,” My heart was shattered on hearing the news that my number was stored in Victor’s phone. I don’t know that how he got my number.

My friend who was in Hyderabad phoned and told me that there are lots of rumors about me is doing the rounds. She also said that my number was not there in his phone and they are unnecessarily dragging me into this matter. I am not in any way connected with this drug matter.

I have never had used dope. Some people who did not like my growth are spreading rumors about me. For a long time I did not go to Hyderabad. They have purposely dragged my name into this. I am not a coward. I will not simply sit back watching such rubbish.

It is wrong to link the actors and actresses with drug peddlers. It will wound the hearts of such people. It will also break their images. I am ready to face anything. My manger is speaking to the concerned officials about this issue. I am also discussing this matter with my advocate. I will proceed legally on the people who are trying to tarnish my image.”

Rajinikanth and his wife has invited C.M and Former C.M

Rajinikanth and Latha Rajinikanth have started visiting friends and relatives to invite them for the weeding of their second daughter Soundarya. Soundarya and Chennai based Ashwin Kumar are getting married on September 3rd.

Rajinikanth with his wife visited the home of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi today morning and formally invited him with his family for the wedding. Rajini also visited the Poes Garden residence of former Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha and invited her for the wedding. Soundarya and Ashwin Kumar got engaged in February this year.

The marriage will be at the Raja Muthiah Hall on September 3rd and a reception will be held on September 2nd. The wedding is going to be a high profile affair where the who’s who of Indian politics and films are expected to attend. Amitabh with his family Jaya Bachchan, Abishek and Aishwarya will attend. Apart from Indian celebrities, Hollywood actor Richard Gere is also expected to attend the wedding.
Groom Ashwin Kumar is an engineering graduate who did his higher studies in the United States. He is currently looking after his father’s construction business in Chennai. Soundarya is also a producer whose maiden venture 'Goa' hit screens recently. She is currently producing the animation film ‘Sultan the Warrior’ staring his super star father which is in its final stages of production.
