Aamir Khan's new record

Actor-turned-producer Aamir Khan produced Peepli (Live), which is based on the farmers’ suicide that rocked India, has created a new record. The film, which was released in India on August 13th, has raked in 21 crores during the opening week. In the international scenario it garnered 2.88 crores. It has to be mentioned here that 109 overseas prints were distributed.

Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO UTV Motion Pictures reportedly told a daily that they decided to focus on Aamir Khan to bring in the audiences as his star value in a film is much higher in the US.
