Simbu has called Ajith for Chandramukhi II

News about Ajith being approached by director P Vasu for the sequel of Chandramukhi has many film personalities and movie buffs surprised. Sources from Kollywood report that several biggies in the tinsel town called and congratulated Ajith on being considered for the role, more so because its Kannada version turned out to be a mega hit.

The latest in the list to wish Ajith is Silambarasan. STR had called Ajith to congratulate on this venture and wished him all success, we hear.

P Vasu waiting for Ajith for Chandramukhi part 2

P Vasu has confirmed that he is planning to do a sequel to the blockbuster 'Chandramukhi' with Ajith playing the lead role.

"It was Rajini sir who recommended Ajith for the role. He asked Ajith to play the protagonist in the sequel when the two met during the kumbabhishekam of a temple inside Sivaji Ganesan's house", the director says.

He adds: "Rajini immediately asked me to send a print of ‘Aptha Rakshaka’ (the Kananda version starring Vishnuvardhan) to Ajith. After watching the film, the actor was impressed".

Saying that he is now waiting for a confirmation from Ajith, Vasu, who is currently busy with 'Puli Vesham' starring RK and Sadha, adds: "Ajith is at present busy with ‘Mankatha’ and one more project. Once he gives his nod, I will immediately start Chandramukhi-2".

‘Chandramukhi 2’ is currently being made in Telugu by P.Vasu with hero Venkatesh. It is titled as ‘Nagavalli’.

Meghna Naidu has roped for a song in Puli Vesham

Meghna Naidu has been roped in for a kuthu song for Puli Vesham, which is directed by P Vasu. RK, who plays the lead role, has also produced this movie. According to sources close to the film unit, this kuthu song will be the highlight of Puli Vesham. The song has been choreographed by Sridhar of the Nakka Mukka fame and fast beat music has been scored by Srikanth Deva.

On Meghna fainting several times during the shoots, the choreographer said, “Meghna might have fainted out of wild dancing, but we are sure that the entire town will faint down for her glamorous treat.”.

Sadha don't get good Tamil films opportunity till now

Since Sadha did not have much opportunity in Tamil films, she switched over to Hindi films. After a long hiatus she is now acting in a Tamil film titled Puli Vesham directed by P Vasu. While speaking to the media, she said,” I was getting lot of offers from Tamil industry.

But they did not have good stories. I have already decided that I will act in films that have good stories and challenging roles. That is why this gap. In between I had acted in two Hindi films and that is why I was not able to act in other films.

P Vasu sir had already approached me for some films but because call sheet problems I was not able to act in them. I had a bad feeling that I was not able to act in his films and that is why I agreed to act in Puli Vesham the moment he called me.

After Chandramukhi and Kuselan, P Vasu directed the Kannada film Aptharakshaka which turned out to be a super hit. Because of this there are a lot of expectations for Puli Vesham. I have belief I will come for another round in Tamil cinema after the success of this film.
There are rumors that Madhavan and I have become intimate. In the film Priysakhi we both have acted as husband and wife. We acted intimately like husband and wife in the love making scene. When the scene was shot, Madhavan’s wife was also present. She is a close friend of mine. So I am not worried about these rumors.”

Karthick is back in Puli Vesham

Director P Vasu is currently busy with Puli Vesham, which has RK in the lead role. Sharing the screen space with him are Sada and newbie Divya Vishwanath. Speaking about this film, Vasu says that RK’s role requires him to don two get-ups of which one is villager. Vasu apparently once remarked to the actor that he needs to slim down to look like a villager. A couple of months later, much to the amazement of the director, RK appeared lean and trim after having shed six kilos.

Karthik plays an important role in the film after a long time. The actor is notorious for eluding the shoots and not attending it on time. However, he has now changed his ways and is at the shooting spot much before the scheduled time, says a press release.
