Ala Modalaindi to remake in Tamil

The Tamil remake rights of Telugu hero Nani's runaway success Ala Modalaindi, directed by Nandini Reddy, have been sold!

A leading Tamil film producer has bagged the remake rights for a whopping sum of close to Rs. 50 lakhs, sources said. For a film made on a budget of just Rs. 3 crores, it is a huge amount for remake rights, experts say.

Interestingly, Nani is making his Tamil debut with Anjali Alikhan’s forthcoming Veppam; it is yet to be seen if the makers retain him in the Tamil version of Ala Modalaindi.
