Illangyan movie Music Review
Pa. Vijay, lyricist turned actor, has penned all the five songs of this album, which has music composed by Vidyasagar. What makes Illangyan special is that its story is written by Kalaignar Dr. M. Karunanidhi.
‘Mazhiyil Kulitha Malarvanam’ sung by Karthik and Anweshaa is a soft romantic duet. Chinmayi sings the melodious ‘Imaithuthane’. ‘Neeya Neeya’ is a powerful solo by Tippu. All these three tracks start off with similar sounding musical preludes. Karthik and Shreya Ghoshal sing the beautifully written ‘Oru Nila Oru Kuzam’. ‘Thoza Vaanam Thuram Illai’ starts of with a westernised chorus, followed by a musical interlude. Hariharan sings this inspiring song with vigour and fervour.
