We had already heard about the buzz that Chetan Bhagat’s book ‘2 States’ will be turned into a film. While we knew that the film will feature a fresh pair – Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra – there is latest update on the movie’s front.

Our birdies heard that the production unit has planned to replace PC by taking on dimpled beauty Deepika Padukone instead. Yeah that means repeating the ‘Love Aaj Kal’ jodi….

Why such change? Birdies explained that in the film Saif plays a Punjabi character whereas his leading lady a south Indian. So, considering this both producer Sajid Nadiadwala and director Siddharth felt that Deepika would be a better choice for the role than Priyanka.

Well, as of now the confirmation is awaited from the makers’ side. But we do feel that Saif and Deepika will look better as couple…. What say, uh?

‘2 States’, in fact, tells the story of how writer Bhagat met his wife.
