Poonam Bajwa team up with Mammootty

Popular Punjabi actress Poonam Bajwa, mostly known for her roles in Tamil and Telugu films including Parugu (Telugu) and Thenavattu (Tamil), will be Malayalam megastar Mammootty's heroine in his first Kannada-Malayalam bilingual Shikari. The 21 year old actress's debut in Kannada was in Thangigaagi, as Darshan's sister.

The title of the Malayalam version will be announced soon. It cannot be Shikari as the title has already been used for a Malayalam film starring Mohanlal.

The film, produced by K. Manju, has recently completed its second schedule near Thirthahalli. The final schedule will be held in Mysore in November. Music is scored by V. Harikrishna.
