Lakshmi Bai act in Hsss movie

Lakshmi Bai, the erstwhile princess of Travancore, is making her screen debut with Hsss in which Mallika Sherawat plays a snake woman.

Akka, as she is affectionately called by close friends and family, Lakshmi Bai is the wife of Monu Nalappat and she plays a crucial role as Divya Dutta's mother in the film.

Earlier, she had met director Jennifer Lynch through family friend Govind Menon, who is producing Hisss.

When Lynch was casting for the role of Divya Dutta's mother, she offered the role to Lakshmi Bai who initially refused. But after much convincing and cajoling, she finally agreed to be part of the film.

Lakshmi will provide a healthy amount of comic relief in the film, and her character is crucial to the plot, says Govind.
