Rahman :I apologize to my fans

“I regret the inconvenience this causes and apologize to my fans and all those who have contributed to the tour. The shows will be rescheduled as soon as possible. In my 15 years of doing concerts I have always put my fans first. The accident in Detroit has had a profound effect on all of us. The band, dancers and crew and I are all highly disappointed, but it is the fans to whom I send the most heartfelt apology,” Rahman posted on his social networking site.

“The tour resumes on July 23rd in Birmingham and will play as scheduled in London on the 24th and 25th,” he added.

This apology came after the tour was derailed by a serious accident in Detroit (USA), in which part of the stage structure collapsed, destroying most of the stage, lighting and musical equipment. Consequently, the itinerary for the shows had to be re-scheduled.

Truly a rare gesture from a man of his stature.
