Two legends K Balachander and Bharathiraja in Rettaisuzhi
It makes one wonder how debutant director Thamira managed to bring in the two stalwarts of the Tamil film industry – K Balachander and Bharathiraja - in Rettaisuzhi. But the ace director K Balachandar says that Thamira apprenticed under him for eight years and convinced him about the script. The kind director took up the opportunity as he felt that it would help the youngster carve a niche for himself in the film industry.
Rettaisuzhi, which has been selected to be screened at the Dubai Film Festival, is a film that has over 20 children in the star cast. Interestingly, comedian Karuna’s son Ken also makes his acting debut with Rettaisuzhi.
