Madrasapattinam story line
Kalpathi Agoram has produced the film Madrasapattinam. This film is directed by Vijay who earlier directed Kireedom and Poi Solla Porom. Aarya and Emmy Jackson from London are pairing in this film.
The story of this film happens in 1945. The audio launch of this film was held at the World Trade Centre at Nadambakkam. In order to bring a nostalgic feel, lots of heritage sets were erected in the Trade Centre. Some junior actors were carrying National flags and shouting slogan Quit India. On the other side women were pounding the paddy seeds while on another side Paavai Koothu took place.
On the stage dancers danced to the songs of this film. The Chief Guest was Kamal Haasan. A steam engine arrived on the stage and Kamal Haasan alighted from the engine. Kamal Haasan released the audio CD and spoke on the occasion. Three elder people who lived in the year 1928, 1932 and 1935 respectively were honored on this occasion.
