Swami Nithyanantha with Ranjitha sex scandal

Private Television Channels in the state on Wednesday exposed the actress as "Ranjitha", who was involved in a sex scandal with Swami Nithyanantha. On Tuesday, Sun TV telecasted the video clippings of the Swamy along with an actress and with the face hidden.
On Wednesday, Jaya TV and Sun TV deliberately telecasted the video tape without hiding the actress's face. It was a surprise to find that the actress is none other than the famous Tamil film heroine Ranjitha who was introduced by the director Bharathi Raja.
Few years back Rajitha was married, but her martial life became a diaster. To console her mind she had been in Nithyanantha Sway's ashram where she got intimate with the Swamy, the channels claimed.
Popular and self-styled Godman Swami Nityananada, who was caught in sleazy acts with a popular Tamil actress, has allegedly fled to Haridwar in Uttarakhand.
The Godman, with a boyish smile, has reportedly gone underground after a Tamil satellite Channel ''Sun TV'' telecast video-clippings of the sleazy scenes involving the Swamiji and the actress.
As the Channel repeatedly flashed the video clippings of the God-man since last night, his devotees thronged various branches of his Ashram and staged agitations.
A group of people belonging to Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK) barged into the Godman's ashram at Tiruvannamalai, about 165 from here, late Tuesdau night and raised slogans denouncing him.
They also damaged the furniture, abused and threatened the officials present in the ashram.
Acting on complaint from the ashram officials, Tiruvannamalai police registered a case and arrested local HMK functionary Sivababu and ten others and remanded them in judicial custody.
Similar agitations were held in the Godman's ashram branches in Bangalore, Puducherry, Salem and Coimbatore. In Puducherry, angry disciples of the young Swamiji, who had gained in popularity over the last ten years for conducting religious camps and delivering spiritual lectures, burnt his photos in effigy.
Women devotees displayed their anger by hitting the photos of the God-man with chappals.
The TV channels has been beaming his alleged 'bedroom acts' right through the night.
The Swami had travelled abroad extensively and had attracted hundreds of devotees with his simple and earthy style of interpreting the philosophies of life.
Several VIPs, including celebrities and politicians, were among the ardent devotees of Nityananda.
As the protests started mounting, sources in one of the Ashrams said the Swamiji had fled to Haridwar.
