Sada plays a mysterious character with shades of grey also thrown in. Pulivesham also stars Karthik who plays a cop once again after his cop role in the forthcoming Maanja Velu. Says Karthik, “P Vasu is such a consummate director and no one can tell a story as well as he can. His drive and energy on the sets is amazing. He and I mutually admire each other and I feel he is like my brother and I feel great to work with such a legend.”
P Vasu is all praise for Karthik’s energy and zest. “When I heard Karthik was doing Mani Ratnam’s Raavan I thought of approaching him for this film. He was away for a small gap of time but now he is back and I feel he has taken back the place that he has left behind. I feel he is as youthful and talented as before and when his contemporaries like Venkatesh and Nagarjuna are still going strong he too can take the hero’s position he left behind. He has maintained his looks, physique and face despite the years. I have told him that he looks even better than before!”
The film also stars a new face Divya. P Vasu was impressed by RK’s interest in films and determination to make a mark in cinema. “He told me that the reach of cinema is astounding and I was really impressed by the way he explained his point to me. In fact I made the character based on the way he speaks and behaves himself.”
The film also stars Myilsamy, Ganja Karuppu and MS Bhasker apart from Mansur Ali Khan. Srikanth Deva has scored three out of five songs already. The film is about how characters wear masks in life and the truth lies to be discovered behind these masks. A good comedy with plenty of action and a strong screenplay and storyline is supposed to be the strength of this film.
