“Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them”, is a famous quote by James Baldwin, a well known American novelist.
And that is what actress Hansika Motwani is insisting the youth, to not follow the smoking trend from their elder. Recently on her way back home, Hansika spotted a few school children, smoking cigarettes.
That left her in a state of shock and surprise. Hansika got out of her car and approached those kids. She then took the cigarettes from their hands and stubbed it down. When she asked those kids, why they were smoking, the children replied that they were in stress of SSC Examination and cigarettes helps them to calm themselves.
After hearing this, Hansika lost her temper and busted on them and exposed them saying if they are spotted smoking again she would inform the matter to their parents.
Talking about this incident, Hansika said, “I don’t know why these days smoking is becoming a stress buster for kids, I was shocked to see this kids with question papers in one hand and cigarette on other. If given a chance I would completely ban smoking which would help everyone to lead a good and healthy life.”
