Asin meets Lawrence Bender

Asin was one of the special invitees at the special premiere of Countdown to Zero a documentary made by Lawrence Bender the noted American film producer and winner of multiple Academy Awards.
Bender who rose to fame by producing Reservoir Dogs in 1992 is also the producer of all Quentin Tarantino's films including the recent Inglorious Bastards which won an Oscar this year.
On Wednesday night, Bender had a special screening of Countdown to Zero at Fun Cinemas which left Mumbaites including Asin spellbound and fascinated. Countdown to Zero traces the history of the atomic bomb from its origins to the present state of global affairs: nine nations possessing nuclear weapons capabilities with others racing to join them, with the world held in a delicate balance that could be shattered by an act of terrorism, failed diplomacy, or a simple accident.
The film was also shown to Obama early this year, at Global Zero Summit in Paris and at the TED Conference in Long Beach, California. After watching the film Asin told us “ I know Lawrence Bender through a common friend of mine and he’s a wonderful person. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Countdown to Zero as I completely support the cause of the film to abstain from Nuclear weapons.”
The invitees at the screening were Asin, Abhay Deol, Diana Hayden, Nandita Das, Shekhar Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Gaurav Chopra, and Anurag Kashyap.
