The popular trend in the film industry

Actors venturing into direction seems to be a popular trend in film industry. Artists like Kamal Haasan, Revathy, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan had done it already. The latest to join the list is handsome Ajith. In a press meet, he has expressed his desire to direct a Tamil film. The actor was quoted saying, “I have a lot of interest to step into direction. Though I won’t be doing it any time soon, I plan to gain more knowledge and do so in future.” Now that is no surprise, because the actor has worked hard on the story, screenplay and dialogue of his latest release Asal. He is also the co-director of the film.
It's not Ajith alone; remake sensation Dhanush has also expressed his wish to direct a Tamil movie. The actor in an interview to a leading daily has been quoted saying, “Yes, I'm interested, but, it'll take another couple of years for me to give it a shot. I'm learning the nuances of direction from the directors I work for.” Well he also has one of the best tutors at his home -- big bro Selvaraghavan.
