January 29 releases

There will not be any Tamil releases on January 26, Tuesday as it is only 12 days away from Pongal (Jan 14).

The Pongal releases have to be given a decent two weeks run before they are dumped for newer releases.
Instead Friday January 29, will see the release of four new Tamil films- Venkat Prabhu’s Soundarya Rajinikant produced Goa, Chimbudevan’s cowboy film Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, Sarath Kumar’s KS Ravikumar directed Jaggubhai, and Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s Tamil Padam.
Two more films are trying to get the Jan 29 slot as February 5 is likely to see a solo big release for Ajith’s Aasal. It is interesting battle ahead in Kollywood in January.
