Director A.R. Murugadoss has clarified that he has no plans to remake any movie. The answer came in reply to some reports which suggested that the director will remake Telugu blockbuster Kick in Hindi with Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead.
He added that he has not even watched the Ravi Teja-Ileana starrer. He said his next film would be produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin with Suriya playing the protagonist.
“The film would go on floors by the end of February 2010. It would be an out and out action movie,” he said, adding, “The lead role requires an actress who knows Tamil well so I am looking for a new face. The selection process is currently on.”
“The story’s backdrop would be totally new to Tamil cinema. After completing this project, I would be moving to Bollywood, where I would be a filming a story penned by me. I am also going to produce movies soon,” he revealed in parting.
