Rajini and Kamal will be meet on December 8

Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be handed over the State Government’s best actor award for the years 2007 and 2008, respectively, on December 8th 2009. It is also worth mentioning here that the Rajini starrer Sivaji, for which he was adjudged the best actor, and the Kamal starrer Dasavatharam, in which he played the lead role, have also been selected as the best film for the year 2007 and 2008, respectively.

The awards will be handed over to the two stalwarts of the Tamil film industry by the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi. The venue for the function will be the Centenary Building in the University of Madras.

The best actress awards for the years 2007 and 2008 goes to Jyothika and Sneha. Jyothika gets the award for her performance in Mozhi and Sneha for her portrayal in Pirivom Santhippom.
