Rains ruin Friday opening!

Heavy rains on Friday in Chennai leading to water logging of all roads and traffic snarls has led to poor box-office collections.

On Friday November 6 when 6 Tamil films- Adhe Neram Adhe Idam, Palaivanacholai, Sa bu tri, Thambiudayan, Vaidehi and Karagatam released along with two Hindi films Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Jail, the skies opened up.

None of the films released could take even a normal opening, with some of the Tamil films reporting single digit opening on day-one!

And it looks like the weekend is going to be washed away by the rains. The reports of heavy rains and floods in Madurai and Tirunelveli is also bad news for the Tamil film industry.
