Uthama Puthiran actor Dhanush waited for another hero

At the audio launch of Uthama Puthiran, Dhanush said that music director Vijay Anthony initially composed two songs for the film and moved on to don the greasepaint for another film. This was major setback for UP, but Vijay ensured that he completed the scores during the nights while in the mornings he turned into a hero. Dhanush jocularly remarked that probably he is the only hero to haggle behind another hero to get the songs for his film.

The actor also made an open promise on stage that he would offer his call sheet to the producers of UP any time they seek but sought at least 3 months time to schedule his prior commitment
