Tamil Padam is full length spoof film in Tamil

A press meet was held by Dhayanidhi Alagiri and his Cloud Nine to introduce the concept of a spoof film in Tamil.
Says Dhayanidhi, “Tamil Padam is the first ever full length spoof film in Tamil. The story is a humorous take on the predictable Tamil formula films.”
The film has ‘Mirchi’ Shiva in the lead along with new girl Disha Pandey from Mumbai. CS Amudham a creative head at an advertising agency is debuting as director, with new boy Kannan providing the music. The highlight is going to be Nirav Shah’s camera work.
MS Bhaskar, Vennira Aadai Murthy and Manobala don the roles of young college students in the film! Kasturi makes a comeback as an item girl in a ‘Kuthu’ number!
CS Amudham the director of the film says: “ In Hollywood the spoof is a popular genre and there has been films like ‘Scary Movie’ a spoof on horror films. Similarly we are spoofing the Tamil mass film. You will laugh your guts out. In short it’s celebration of Tamil cinema.”
The audio launch of the film will be held live on Kalaignar TV on Christmas day. Tamil Padam is slated for release in January.
