Divya was signed to do the Trisha role in Abhiyum Naanum's Kannada version

Prakash Raj is producing the Kannada version of the Tamil film Abhiyum Naanum. He has titled this film as Naanu Nanna Kanasu. Prakash Raj is donning the role which he did in the Tamil version.

Divya was signed to do the Trisha role. She also participated in the film launch function also. But she did not participate in the shooting yesterday in Bangalore. Instead of her Kannada actress Amulya acted.

It seems that she had demanded Rs 30 Lakhs as her salary whereas Prakash Raj said that he will be paying her only Rs 16 Lakhs. Because of this she refused to act in this film. Divya while speaking about this said,” I never knew what was my salary even one day before the shooting commencement.

Nobody from the production side spoke about my salary. Only two days before, they spoke about my salary. Since this was half the salary I receive for my films, I refused to act in this film. That is the reason I have opted out of the film.”
