The Asal look of Sameera

Sameera Reddy, who played a very low-key role in Varanam Aayiram, is back in Kollywood after making her presence felt in Tollywood and Bollywood. And this time around, this vivacious lady is charming the Ultimate Star.
Sameera is one of the lead ladies in Ajith’s new movie Asal. She plays an Indian who has lived all her life abroad and returns only for a set purpose. While Sameera is not one to say NO to glamour looks, this role needs her to look very businesslike. “Sameera is a pleasure to work with. She knows what she wants and is clear about it when we discuss her look. She is not fussy and will take suggestions. And she is one of those people who can carry off any kind of outfit with finesse. In Aasal, it was required to give her a very urban corporate look. She wears suits like those worn by women in corporates abroad, because though she is an Indian, she has lived abroad,” says reputed costume designer Nalini Sriram, who has done Sameera’s costumes in Aasal. “All her outfits were sourced from abroad, because nothing about her look is Indian. From the fabric to the outfits, everything has a very western look to it. I have seen the rushes and am absolutely satisfied with the way she looks in those clothes. It’s a look that is not popular in the South yet, but Sameera has carried it off very well!”
